Hmm, always been meaning to goto a BAAS event. Hopefully I'll make it.
Anyone reading this and needing a ride from the San Jose area, I'd be willing to carpool.
Pm me or post to set something up.
Looking forward to it. :)
Dam it!! I can't make it.>.> I have plans that day.:(
what exactly is this BAAS party?
BAAS = Bay area Animation Society
[please correct me if im wrong]
think of them as bay area wide - Anime club [well society], I believe most of their members had been a part or was involved with clubs such as :
No Name Anime
www.nnanime.com
Foothill Anime
foothill.anime.net
and most likely have active members in Fanime Con as well. They're a bunch really awesome ppl that host, semi annual gatherings for local charities and you really cant complain about making new friends over free food and goodies. :)
That's like 2 hours away from me O_O

Folks from other Anime clubs are welcome to attend No-Name Anime showings. While I think once upon-a-time there was a BAAS group that regularly attended the showings, I don't know of any more significant involvement. If anyone from BAAS has been attending in recent years, they've either been quiet about it or I haven't been paying enough attention. Since our December meeting is above averagely festive, sometimes we have more of the faithful from other clubs than in other months so I'll try to pay more attention.
Where is el Sobante?
el sobrante is in the north east bay near richmond.
