This will be mine and my BF's first time to Fanime, we currently live in Seattle and purchased our passes already and we are currently waiting to see if there is a schedule of events to be posted. For past Cons that we have gone to they post it so that we can plan our weekend ahead of time, this is extremely important this time because my bf is having surgery and we will need to make sure we know what we are doing in advance. He is from San Jose and is looking forward to Fanime and I want to make sure our experience is the best it can be. So, if I can get an idea as to when the schedule will be up that would be extremely helpful.
Thanks,
Usually the schedule isn't up till a few weeks before the con
That's correct - unfortunately there's way too much variability to pin down things until closer to con.
However, certain events are confirmed early. The major events (Masquerade, MusicFest, B&W Ball, Ceremonies, etc.) are almost always on the same day and time each year.
Again, though, there's a lot of variability, so I can't say anything officially until the schedules actually come out.
First of all: This'll be the first time I go to Fanime, and the second con in total.
Second of all: I wish it was sooner than 114 days away. ;;
Third:
I have questions (like most of the newcomers..)
Like,
1: Is there a map of some sort? ;; I'm reading all these posts about the stage zero, game room, masquerade, ect, and I'm curious if I could print out something before hand to plan out my attacks. >:D
2: Schedule? Or is it too early to know what is when and where?
Thankss. :D

There is a map, but not up yet. There is a schedule... but not up yet. You get a program guide when you pick up your badge that contains maps, schedules, as well as info about different things at the con. Hopefully it'll have sexy pictures of the con chair like it did last year.
Yes there will be a Schedule, and yes there will be a map. Neither is available atm. The map can likely be found inside the Schedule, assuming you pick up a Schedule from Con Staff. The Print out of the schedule that will become available a week or two before con will probably have a map too.
EDIT: Damn Ninja-ed
last year there was a convenient little pocket guide which everyone liked. :)
im sure you could goto the main SJ conventer Center website to see the layout of the convention center itself and connected to the hotels but of course nothing will be labeled except for the names of the rooms and the type of "ballrooms" they are -
the big ballrooms A, B, and C are usually for Dealers, Gaming and Artist alley. [not in that order]
Stage Zero will be located on the 2nd floor [also known as the Concourse] and the various other rooms will be reserved for panels, video rooms, and things like that.
of course as time get closer to the Con so will more infor about the layout of everything.
