Title: Animewild a big scam site?
Post by: LordKefka on February 12, 2010, 12:12:38 AM
Well luckily ( and stupidly for me), I ordered from this site and right after a friend AIMed me telling me the site is a scam where I probably should have done some research myself. Anyone also ordered from them before? I spent $85 on a figure there and I have a 99% gut feeling I'm not gonna get it (the 1% being them forgetting they were actually planning to scam me).

Thing is it just never crossed my mind a site like that could rip anyone off. It's like ordering from hlj, toyslogic, or hobbysearch almost without a fear of unreliability.

If you paid by PayPal or credit card, they should offer some form of protection against scamming. From what I can find online, the site does not have a very good reputation.

Ugh yeah, I'm in the process with my bank to get my money back. I saw those and I pretty much believe I got scammed. My next question is how Uncle Sam continues to allow sites like this to go on and what I mean by that is it's been up for years. Who would have thought (obviously not me). Either way, from me to the next person, don't buy from these people...-__-;

Maybe the site isn't under US jurisdiction? I'm not sure.

Go after their pocketbook. Complain to their hosts, payment service, whoever they're doing business with. Businesses may dabble in the gray area, but they don't like to be involved with anything that will bring them in the red.  ;D

God I feel like such an idiot atm. They actually sent my item. This is what I get for jumping to conclusion. Damn it me...

Now I have to find a way to pay them the money again since I got my money back via bank AND the item...-_-;;
