From the article:
A Korean otaku opted to go with the last option, wedding a dakimakura body pillow featuring the image of Fate Testarossa, one of the popular heroines of magical girl show Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. Not only has this particularly dedicated fan married his favorite pillowcase, he also takes her out on dates to restaurants and to amusement parts, as chronicled on media sites.
I know that anyone can fall in love with whatwhoever and be respected while others find this very disturbing. What are your thoughts?
The Korean Otaku: Hi I have no life and I married my pillowcase to love and to cherish until death do me part.
The Korean Otaku's friends: :o ??? ;) >:( :'(
:-\
What?! Why?!
Love is something you feel for someone who can love you back. It would be creepy for someone to "marry" their imaginary friend, it's also creepy for this guy to "marry" his pillow. And correct me if I'm wrong, but in a "marriage" both people have to agree to vows...how exactly does a pillow do this? I'm calling this guy an attention whore and moving on with my life. ::)
Looks like he looked over to the japanese otaku who married a video character and said "You call that crazy?I can top that!!!"
And so the battle of korea trying to have one over japan continues.
This is both funny, yet sad at one time.
This is just plain sad.
LMAO! Otaku men these days...
Well at least the Japanese guys wife talks back to him XD
I mean if I had to chose between a Pillow or a Videogame charcter that interacted back with me...I would go with the DS Video game character. At least it talks to me and has somewhat of a personality :P Opposed a Pillow case that just sits there and dosent do anything.. But I would rather Get with a real life person, its just so much more better XD Or unless Japan does come out with a Persocom O_O or something like an android like in Absolute boyfriend D: Then I am sorry guys I am taken with my personalized Robotic man XD HAHAHAHAH >3>

Ya'll act like you guys would never do this, I know a ton of you guys would want this to happen in America and be legal. Personally, this is an awesome option. Now I don't have to worry about my wife complaining about why the dishes aren't done and why dinner isn't made or why I don't bring filet mignon home, but get sirlin steak instead.
This story makes me think about the movie Cool World.

Except in cool world the animated characters were actually sentient beings who lived like everybody else. Does that mean him having sex with the pillow will transform it into a human being? *eyes anime DVDs.*
Wasn't that based on that episode of 30 rock with James Defranco?
Bobby ^^;
