I guess I would have to say Akihabara@DEEP. it became a Drama with 11 episodes.
IT"S AWSOME!!! It shows the life of average low Otaku's and each have a quality that many people in the real world would mock or would see it as beyond weird.

theres a girl who fights in teh underground world.
A Cosplay obsessive dude, and a dude who freezes whenever he sees flashes of light and more.
It's a tie between Nodame Cantable and One Litre of Tears.
But I am a asian-drama crazyed fan. Lol. I try to watch anything I can get my hands on.

hanazakari no kimitachi e, and I was a fan of Detroit Metal City, but that was a live action movie =/

Pretty fun to watch. It's kind of weird that they don't figure out she's a girl but it doesn't in the way of the story.
