Title: Sat April 10: No-Name Anime (Santa Clara, CA) showing
Post by: EdOfNoName on April 04, 2010, 10:28:09 AM
Join us for an afternoon of subtitled anime. It's only April, but for some of us, summer can't get here fast enough! Those who don't want to wait can follow Kenji's adventures in Summer Wars. Rivalry heats up Tactics and Mini-Goddess, a solar flare threatens Hachimaki in Planetes, and Eva pulls some smokin' magic in Tweeny Witches. Even if the weather hasn't caught up yet, this will be one hot afternoon!

Eleventh grader Kenji Koiso was expecting an uneventful summer working a menial computer job at virtual world Oz, when popular senior Natsuki Shinohara offers him a summer job of her own. The social challenge of dealing with Natsuki's large extended family is only the start of an adventure that extends beyond the real world and crosses into Oz.

Man, I just watched Summer Wars a few days ago. It was pretty good. Had I known it was going to be at No Name, I would've waited and watched it there!
