Some notes on getting this new event goign:

(https://forums.fanime.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm5.static.flickr.com%2F4118%2F4830242710_fa82b97784_z.jpg&hash=56f788660de6939a4d005f8dc2c4b1c559f54ac0)

Well, 405th.com had a GREAT showing at Comic Con this year helping to makeComic Con "huge for Halo this year. In fact, probably bigger than E3" according to InsideGaming @ Machinima.com.  Check out our dancing videos and our many shoutouts from HaloWaypoint!

Since I typically always work Fanime Rover staff, I should be up at the con next year so I'll be taking charge of this gathering. I'll be sticking with my ODST suit since it's nice, comfortable, and easy to move around in.

Look for more details to appear as the time gets closer.  Until then follow the Facebook page to keep up to date on events or visit our forums to get help building your very own Halo costumes.

Planned to be on display will be this amazing piece of work from Blue Realm Studios, Adam Grumbo, and Ash Turner:

Space being reserved for updates regarding plans for panels/cosplayer events:

Since this is an anime convention, I'm hoping to get special gifts that will be given for people who create unique costumes of characters from the Halo Legends anime or from Machinima series such as Red Vs Blue (Which had an animated short and has now partnered with Monty Oum of Haloid fame).

Another suggestion was a Red Vs. Blue cosplayer event.  If we can get enough red/blue spartans for this, we'll go for it.  Or maybe we could work something out with the other major red vs. blue warfighters...the TF2 folks.   We'll see!

As one of the goals of the 405th is to help teach people to use their creativity to create their own suits, one of my hopes is to put together an armor-making panel, so please keep updated for further information on that subject and participation opportunities.

Hey Troop will I be able to get you to take a commison for some Armor this Year?
I asked last year and you said you would reply back to me and never did. Though to be fair I did not end up with the money for it so it does not matter.

Token - It all depends how much time you have to invest.  My suits average around a month to two months, but they are also done during the summer when I limited commitments.  Some people who are very busy with work, school, and other things have taken over a year on their projects.  I think the best thing to do is to set a goal schedule (finish helmet by such and such date, etc.) and do your best to stick by it.

TC - sorry about never replying!  I was pretty bad about that...I got around to responding to everyone who asked on youtube about 6 months after they inquired and I forgot about most of the other random places people asked. -_-

And yes, I feel comfortable taking commissions for armor now.  Shoot me a PM with what you are looking for and we can talk more in detail.
