My friend lives in England and is coming to visit me in California during the week before/of Fanime. She wants to register (and has) but doesn't know how to pay since it's in US dollars.
Does the registration take the correct amount of dollars out of her account, even though her country uses Sterling Pounds?
Please let me know so I can let her know what to do! Thanks! :)
Usually the credit card company/bank will convert to the currency of the account, of course at an exchange rate in its favor.
We use Paypal for our online transactions. You/your friend can find a conversation rate at their Paypal website

Bear in mind that the exchange rates may differ if you are using a paypal account to pay or simply using a CC or debit through our Paypal eCommerce portal.
Ok thank you! I'll let her know! :)
As another international attendee (Canadian), what I do is try and credit my PayPal account when the exchange rates are best with enough money to register, so when the time comes that I decide to pay my registration fees, I won't get charged super-high exchange rates.
