So I know this series is quite recent in anime, but the manga has been out since 2004! When the anime was finally announced last year, I was so ecstatic!

So I was hoping to decide the order of characters after we see how many cosplayers will attend this gathering :3
So far this is the basic idea of ordering:

*Gender/Species (animal, human, etc)

Yay, I'm glad someone is putting a gathering for this together. If I had the budget, I'd put together a Jacqueline or something, but I'll be too broke. Looking forward to coming to see everyone and cheer you on! I'm crossing my fingers for a good Hoshi, Sonchou, or Amazoness cosplayer. :)

That would be funny. It could take some searching to find masks that aren't fancy handmade decorations, but I'm sure there's something out there in the wild internets. If not, there's always paper clay/paper mache. I made a fantastic Naruto ANBU mask with it. :)

Hmmm, I will think about it since both the series in anime are still quite recent, but also, the two series also do not have much in common besides some of the humor. I will consider it, but have you thought about starting your own gathering? Because then maybe you will know how many others would like to participate and if it's not enough to create an official gathering (I think you need at least ten cosplayers) we can join arms and form our cosplayers together (:

I'll have a Maria costume with me so I'd like to attend if possible. :) I'm trying to also find a 9 piece military belt. My boyfriend may be attending as Sister but we'll see. He will likely have two costumes, one in the nun costume and one in military fatigues from the ending of Bridge Bridge x 2.

I hate to be the guy that conflicts with the time but I've got the MegaTen gathering at 1:30PM on Saturday. The good thing is I'm using the white suit for both that and Arakawa, but would it be possible to push the Arakawa gathering to 2:30? That gives me enough time to change my shirt and grab my bird head.

I think that would be fine as well! I would simply not want it any later than 4 o'clock for sure, so I believe 2:30 will be fine, hopefully it doesn't conflict with anyone else's schedule :3
I've got the Gundam gathering at 4:30 so anything before 4 works for me as well. 2:30 is optimal.

My Maria cosplay has been done for a while, but I'm afraid I can't get any pink contacts to ship in time D:<
Same here! I have so many pink wigs, I bought another for Maria because her bangs are different and I have yet to cut it because I've been busy with prop making and college work >:(

I don't have pink contacts either. Not enough time and the last time I wore colored contacts my eyes wouldn't stop watering until after I took them out. It was pretty bad. I'm trying to think of a way to have sheers and make it pass at rovers. I may get a pair of scissors and seal it shut. I'm not too sure though. :(

What are the rules against tools like sheers or a hoe or something?

Metal hoes and shears are a no-no for peace-bonding, but most of the time, if you are outside and not being arrogant with them, it's fine.
