NOW~ Do we have any suggestions for time/meeting place? My best suggestion would be Saturday at 12 (Muhahaha, take the best time ever) at the front fountains (At the best place ever!) But before we go trying to claim it, I wanted to make sure that we have enough people to justify taking it.

Also... Depending on how many there are, I was thinking it might be nice to drag out some blankets and tea and have a picnic in the little park nearby... But with too many people, that just seems like a hostile take-over. Perhaps something for smaller, splinter groups to plan?

Since it's my first time attending, I don't really have anything to contribute by way of meeting suggestions.  Whatever you guys decide is fine with me.

Let's get a good idea of how many people will be arriving; I really don't think it'll be too prudent if a massive gathering invaded the park with blankets.
Either way, though, I do plan on doing it with my small group of friends at least once.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! I really wasn't expecting a turn out so quickly, so this is pretty amazing. :D

Maybe this upcoming year I'll finally get around to cosplay Rinnosuke, so you can put me down as a maybe.

What's this about Touhou picnics I read though? I'm all for it (as I'm the founder of the Bayhou gatherings and have hosted a few potluck gatherings previously). I was going to ask why the gathering was going to be held on Saturday and at twelve, but it's a familiar combination to me, so no objections. Don't worry about the size of the group too much, though to be on the safe side I'd check the regulations and what not in regards to picnicking/group size. Always nice to see the community come together and have a good time, and whatnot.

It just seemed like the easiest time and slot to remember, actually. We can change it if need be!

I'll have to check out those regulations, too, thank you for that! I would never have thought to do something so simple.

Well, I shouldn't pretend to know what the start times were previous to this year and the year before (which was Sunday at 2:00).

I don't think alot of people will choose to show up to the after activities sadly, just based off personal experience. But I'd be glad to help out however I can (vested interests and what not).

Thank you! I assume that most people wouldn't come, but a smaller group of friends meeting for lunch in the park after would certainly be fun! I've stolen some ideas for cookies off the internet, and I have a fair bit planned! It ought to be quite a nice time.

Finally we have a Touhou gathering going (I'd been lurking the forums for a month waiting). So thanks for getting this started!

My original plan was to bring out my Yukari costume again, but suddenly I have a new plan. I'm coming as Toyosatomimi this year, and I'm almost scared to see a lot of ten desires characters.

As for times, I really don't know. I thought the Sunday 2pm slot worked fine last year, especially with a lot of the bigger meets on saturday (I'm sure a lot of people, me incuded, might be in those meets as well). I put touhou in priority always except I have one big costume for pokemon so if those two conflict, I'm gonna cry lol. Otherwise, saturday it is.

I am fine with changing the time back to the original! Just wanted to pick a generic time to start and then see what people wanted to go with.

Also, yea. I have a feeling there will be a LOT of TD people. I know my friend has been working on Futo and Miko. It'll be interesting to see how many show up.

asdfgh so many gatherings are trying to get their saturday noon slot, and I'm supposed to be in quite a few of them, watching others.

I still think this should be sunday noonish like last year, so many of the other large gatherings want saturday as well lol

Just FYI, the "What the Heck is Touhou?" panel (the same panel as previous years) currently has its time slot reserved for Sunday, 4PM.

EDIT: I have a Reimu and Okamisty cosplay, trying to finish Touhouvania Reimu and/or Tokiko as well.

With that in mind, we should change the time of the gathering for after, but I want to make sure its okay with you guys, first.

Masq is also on sunday, so I don't think I'd be able to go if the gathering is on sunday. :<

I think the gathering should stay on Saturday since it seems it would conflict with other events on Sunday after the panel (like the masquerade and B&W Ball)!

Most of my group already has the Saturday gathering date down (as in its alreadly all planned and accounted for), so I don't think it's advisable to change it at this time.

As of right now, this is during the final fantasy gathering, and an hour after the Pokemon gathering, both of which I'm preparing pretty elaborate costumes for, I'd hate to miss the touhou gathering two years in a row, if it works out being on Sunday, this would probably still be way better! It seems a lot of big gatherings got scheduled around the same times

So far the ratio of people who want Saturday vs Sunday is still overwhelmingly geared towards Saturday. I'm still open to listen to arguments the contrary, but for the time being I am fairly certain that the time is best kept as is.

Yea, admittedly, this late into the game with so many people signed on already, I'm not all that keen on changing things.

Ahaha, its getting down to the money! Meanwhile, I am only really just starting on Meiling. Procrastination and other costumes have ruined me~ It looks like its another mad dash to finish this year.

Do I need a ticket or a pass to meet with you guys? I want to stop by to see some Touhou fans (sadly, none seem to exist where I live).

And also, a big thanks to people like Kieuseru for working to bring together the Touhou community. :)

i'll be showing as Reimu, specifically from Koumajou Densetsu, if i can. I am male though =), and in regards to the it wont be at the cosplays best because due to other plans,if this meet is on Saturday, i wont be able to rid myself of my beard for it.
