Hi, never been to a con before....
I've never made a costume, never tried to make one.. but an idea popped into my head and I wanted to make it a reality. i'm making a steampunk spiderman costume and was wondering if it'd be appropriate to wear at this convention. I'm thinking of going because a bunch of friends are going and was just curious how out of place i'd be if I came walking in with it on haha.

Yeah it totally is now!
This year they had a whole Steampunk side convention (it had details on the back of the handbook) and there was a lot of comic book cosplay, and a DC/MARVEL gathering!

Pretty much any kind of costume...as long as you follow the code of conduct and the FanimeCon Costume Rules & Limitations.
So...if you can get arrested if wearing it on the streets or cause a public out roar, its best if you dont dring it to the con.
Also you don't have to dress up to go to Fanime. You can have just a good time with or without a costume.
