I was wondering if anybody, from past experiences, know the price for 3 nights at either the Marriott, Hilton, or Fairmont. I'm planning to book a room from Friday to Monday and I just want to know which hotel offers the best price.
I don't recall the exact prices, but from what I've heard, the Fairmont is the cheapest of the three.
Actually, I think Fairmont is the most expensive.
depends when you book. i have managed to get rooms at Fairmont for $89 per night. i find the rooms to be amazingly large, and quite enjoyable stay in. but again if you book late the prices can become much higher, between 120 a night to normal price which is something like 240-300 per night
Last year I ended up with the Fairmont, didn't register late and paid like $102-108 a night. That was a two bedded room as well. I do think the singles were $89 to $99 though. The rooms are pretty nice, with the downside being farther from con and parking is a pain in the ass. They only have valet parking and it costs an arm and a leg. You're better off parking somewhere else and just hauling everything.
The Fairmont was $89/night for a single bed, as stated previously. The parking situation isn't too bad. Here's what I did last year..
Dropped off my GF and our stuff at the Fairmont lobby. Then I drove to the other side of the block and parked in the parking lot near Psycho Donuts. If you leave Monday, you don't pay for parking since San Jose parking lots and garages are free on holidays. The walk from the Fairmont to the parking garage isn't too bad, especially since you just walk down the alley as if you were heading to Johnny Rocket's from the hotel.
Last year I stayed at the Fairmont, and the entire bill for two people in a room with one bed was $388.56. This is including parking for all three nights and all taxes.
In 2011 I had three people in a room with two beds and the estimation was $372.78. This was not including parking.
I'm sure prices will be slightly different each year, but hope this helps!
