Title: Animation Mistakes?
Post by: MaigoLily on April 02, 2013, 03:56:59 PM
You know the times when you are watching something but then you notice something weird in the animation?

So I was watching Fairy Tail episode 172 and starting at around the 9:40 mark, I noticed something after watching it a few times.
As Fairy Tail was walking out, Gray and Erza switched places? It was a super epic scene, but I could help but notice they switched. Erza was at the end with Gray next to her, then suddenly Gray is at the end with Erza next to him. Weird...
Hopefully I didn't spoil anything since I just mentioned they walk out.

Has anyone else noticed little animation mistakes like this in other animes?

I recall an episode in the second season of Ranma 1/2 where they colored Ranma's hair black/blue when she was actually in his female form and should have been red.  I can't think of any more recent mistakes though.

You could say that ep. 4 of Gurren Lagann is full of mistakes. Or you can say that Gainax was trying to make fun of the older super robot shows.

In Utawarerumono, there was a a scene where a guy riding one of those dinosaur things were crosseyed. I made a screencap but lost it. It was labled derp.jpg   I swear it was done on purpose.

I found 2 more. In the 6th episode of UN-GO around the 4:50-5:10 mark. When Kazamori does a search for fingerprints, the device says SERACH MODE instead of SEARCH MODE.
And in the 8th episode of Bartender, around the 4:50 mark, the drink "Angel's Tip" was spelled "Anjel's Tip"
These types of mistakes are quite common, I remember seeing many before. They should have an English speaking person so that nothing gets lost in translation, but it is quite entertaining to find them.
