Title: [Gaming] League of Legends tourny
Post by: Decantus on February 27, 2014, 10:01:28 AM
League of Legends is pretty popular right now.  Are there any plans for a LAN tourny?  I'm sure Riot would be interested in doing something with the Premier NorCal Anime Convention.

they would if they could, but any tourney riot runs requires an internet connection, as of season 4. and the comps we have at fanime cant reach a internet line, and if we reach an internet place, it cost money to get an internet line. The only moba we can do really at fanime is Dota 2 cause its free, can be set as a lan game without an internet connection, and can be played vanilla (no preset runes, skins, limited characters, etc.) like what they have with TF2 on the lan computers.

With all the renovations to McEnery, you'd think they would have included State-of-the-Art internet   :-\

Oh well, makes sense.

im not saying that they do, im just saying where the comps are usually placed, its an arm and a leg to run cables to them, let alone buying internet use from the center.

Someone should see what the internet connection is like in one of the hotels. Guerrilla style tournament, eh? eh? Is it totally against the rules?

its harder than landing a blind hook first time playing pudge than play on that internet connection. did that last year.
