Anyone really looking to quench their anime con thirst should fly over to Hawaii this weekend for Kawaii Kon.
This link comes from the Star-Bulletin newspaper in Honolulu.

Oh wow, I never expected this to pop up here. Glad to know there are people that know about this first-time convention :D . As a resident of Hawaii, born and raised, it's a great thing to finally get our own convention instead of having to fly over to the mainland everytime. As we all said when the convention was announced: "It's about time!" I have a lot of my friends going, but I won't be able to join them  . I'm stuck here in California for college and I can't afford the plane ticket back home or the time from my engineerng classes. Though if anyone is going to the convention, let us know how it is and please be nice since it IS Hawaii's first anime convention :D .
