Well, I was walking around Fanime 05' and along with wearing my new Moogle hat around, i've saw a small amount of people with either Moogle caps around or dressed as a Moogle! ^^ (I've even seen a Sephiroth moogle over there....sadly I couldn't take his pic...)
But then recently it hit me...why not have a Moogle gathering at Fanime 06?! ^_^ Either dressed as a Moogle or a character with a Moogle Cap on, i'd love to see us gather around and represent the Moogle! ^_^ Kupopo! ^_^
Anyone up for it?! ^^ I might either be Vergil from Devil May Cry 3 or Shin Akuma from Street Fighter, but i'll carry my Moogle hat around for the pics! ^_^ Come on out from the caves fellow Moogles and represent the Moogle! ^_^
My hubby, his cousin and myself are dressing up, so you're welcome to join, but I think we may be going to the FFX/FFX-2 gathering. You may be better off going there as well.

Those are really kawaii poses Nessa! ^_^ I wish I saw ya with your Dark Moogle cosplay at Fanime....I did see you and your boyfriend as Arucard and Victoria, the Squirtles and I think also in school outfits as well...but I didn't saw ya as the Dark Moogle (which I originally intended on having my FFX Moogle plushie be held by ya but ya held him on the pic of the Squrtle outfit! ^^) but is there a chance for a return for the Dark Moogle?! ^_^

I've seen more guys with Moogle inspired headpieces and costumes, but not full body costumes...i'd try to make a full body moogle costume for Fanime but if not, i'll wear my Moogle hat with my DMC3 Vergil costume! ^^

Moogle-mage. Not black mage moogle. More like a long coat wearing (with fur/feathers at ends) with a white wizard hat with extra set of wings on top, finished off with a moogle staff (basically a white stick with a ball decorated as a moogle on top)

I would like hopefully for you to drag in some people from outside the gathering, also, to join in the contest. The more people we get in the contest, the more likely people will want a hat even if they don't win *is so business-dastardly!*

the regular FF gathering usually takes place at the fountains right? i think since we're haing the moogles at the same time, we should do it at the same place, simply because some might want to be involved in both gatherings. and most of the photographers who would be there would probably go to the FF gathering rather than the moogle gathering simply because the FF one would be bigger.
just my two cents.. maybe we can meet at luckinspades booth, and then move? or meet at 4.45 at the booth, and go to the fountains at 5? that would give us 15 minutes to do our moogle things with the contest or whatever, and still give the photographers the option to photograph both gatherings without missing anything.

We could also have the gathering first and then have the contest at the end. Although i'm still planning what to do for the contest, it shouldn't take too long though! ^^
I finally got confirmation from work that I will have memorial weekend off, so I am getting my costume ready, with some much needed improvements. I just need to finish my boots, wing, and armor, hem the coat (and 'bout a dozen other projects, but who's counting?) This gathering sounds like it should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm pretty sure that was me, unless someone else does a one-winged moogle cosplay. I was in a rush and only got the costume done at the last minute (like many of my costumes that year...), so I only wore it the last couple of days. My armor was falling apart at the time and my coat was made with some cheap material that didn't look good. This year I sewed a new coat out of white vinyl, and i'm making a pair of boots and a new wing. The armor is what is giving me the most grief so far, but hopefully I can get that and the props for all my friends costumes done in time. I still need to make a new "Mooglemune" as I broke my last one messing around with it.
Yeah, I might've seen ya! ^^ Sadly, I didn't had enough film to take a pic of ya, but hopefully your costume, as well as the Mooglemune, is in excellent shape by the time Fanime comes around! ^^ I'll be looking forward to seeing it! ^^

I haven't made much progress lately. School work has taken a priority lately, but I plan to have everything ready in time for Fanime. The only things I'm not sure about is my props, as I haven't had much time to work on things like Mooglemune. I may have to wait until the week before fanime to do them, but I want to have not only the Mooglemune, but another weapon, the Flight of the Moogle Keyblade.
Hey, the thread got a phoenix down...ugh, I'm juggling two costumes...but I think I will be able to get them in time.
But more importantly, can I just have a confirmation on the final gathering info?

To Lisu: The gathering is gonna be on Saturday at 5PM. We'll meet at Luck in Spade's table and possibly locate it to someplace nearby....perhaps at the same place of the Final Fantasy gathering though....and of course, there'll be moogle music playing as well! ^_^
Okies...it seems that along with the rest of the Final Fantasy cosplayers, the Moogle gathering will meet and be at the Fountains at the front of the con at 5PM on Saturday! ^^ I'll talk to Luck In Spades about the dance contest mini game though! ^_^

just wanted to know what happened to all the moogles? [and on that note, all the FF peeps?]
i was at the fountains at 5 and only found like two other moogles [got ot meet moogleborg, yay!] and like, the general final fantasy gathering that was suppoed to happen never seemed to form. there was no FF peeps aside from the scarce moogles.... did something else happen? i was looking forward to a big bunch of moogles....
ooh ooh I was a moogle. there was noone there when I checked it out after cooling off from the heat of my costume. I didn't think that any would show because I saw maybe four other people throughout the whole con that were dressed as moogles. it was saddening but oh well there is always next year. oh and I was told people thought I was a chick in the moogle outfit.... i dont have a girlish figure....do I?

Yeah I got to see a few moogles, and I made sure to talk or be like "OMG! It's a moogle" to all of them o.o I got some picture which I'll be uploading tommorow or something...

hmm...I showed up to for like 2 minutes, took a pic with Sephiroth-moogle (don't know how those names are integrated) and then had to dash of. I was watching Kamijo, tried to be in line to get signature, and had music fest to go. Didn't really have much time, sorry.
Oh, by the way, I was that moogle-esque person with the long coat, hat with wings on it. I liked my moogle mage.
I remember you, my friends and I thought that was an awsome cosplay.

yeah, what *did* happen to the moogle gathering? i couldn't be there because i was staffing, but my friends were moogles for the day- the race queen ones that were running around delivering messeges, if any of you remember...

I remember them! ^_^ And thanks for everyone who showed up for the rather small moogle gathering....hopefully i'll make more planning for it for next year....which i'm thinking of some ideas right now! ^_^
