Just saw the article today on Anime. Enjoy XD

I like how they called it a religion. XD
Is it me, or did it have a general tone of talking down to all of the 'otaku' (he he, it actually pointed out the Americanization)? Maybe it's just my imagination...
Hahaha, like we weren't aware of some of those details.
Reason otaku buy pirated goods? It's cheaper!
-Also was told that otaku means literally people that need to get out more.

I'd just ignore his tone. People stereotype anime as cartoons and thus place the notion that it is for "kids". Thus, when you talk to an otaku, you're talking to a kid, someone lower than an adult. Or, even worst, one could be characterized immediately as a geek. Frightening what anime lovers have to go through. Yeah, basically, I too felt that the general tone was also very low.
I can't blame them though. We need more Miyazakis in the anime industry before people start noticing anime can be more than just "DBZ". Throw out an Air (T.V. series) on Adult Swim... And for god's sake, please screw the dubbing!
P.S. I know it's true that anime is on the rise in America, but that doesn't take away the stereotyping. Maybe with the next generation since anime is more appealing to kids than it is to the adults.

No, that's the way they talk to everyone: condescending. :D

The thought of Air on there. O.O
I'd watch it. >.> I'd even watch dub just to see what its like.
(Now back to your original broudcasting)->
I kinda overlooked the tone. >.> It just reminded me of the tone of any other review on anime by an non-fan. >.>

At least the CNN article mentioned above is still better (imo) than the Fox News article I'll show here:

When I read that one, it makes me feel a bit embarrsed to be a right winger, imo.

Oh damn... ok, I was genuinely sick reading that... Oh Hell... #-o
First Article: Interesting. I have gained heartier respect for ADV's marketing and business practices than I previously had and that says much.
Second Article: Haha. Fox is funny in its idiocy.

and this was a recently discovered sales technique?
why can anime girls pull this off better than humans?

AIR TV on Adult Swim? I was under the impression that Adult Swim was heavy into shounen.
I'd rather just have the DVD releases, thank you very much.
Back on topic, I'd have to agree with Sunara on that quote Lisu ripped out, on both counts. The second one is even worse. I don't even think I need to explain why.
The article wasn't that bad.In fact,a very good examination of the anime industry.
