Easy question! :] Pump out the ideas and I'll see what I can do for hosting the selected games. The base games will be there (YGO, UFS, Naruto, FMA, MtG), but if there's anything else, drop a line!
I think we should start with a bigger, more 'visible' room, first...^^;
Joking aside, can we get a deck or two of [regular] Uno in there? That game's insanely addictive, but it's oft forgotten...
Add Simpsons UNO to the UNO list. *Hee, hee*
I can get my hands on Star Trek UNO... *hit by rotten fruit* X_x;;;
Want a sticky ^^?
Ska_Kitti, consider a multiple UNO event. People bring different versions of UNO and play for prizes related to the UNO game :] Simpsons UNO winner wins a Homer Simpson figurine.
An UNO tournament? LMAO. I'm lobbying for a bigger room next year, so it may be possible. I'll toss around the idea ot the others. Umi, if you could, please make this a sticky.
I'll do what I can to bring UNO... PROVIDED that it revolves somewhere around anime. Ideas are appreciated. ^_^
Bigger rooms, fans, windows, air purifiers/fresheners, and more tournaments =D
Specifically Magic tournaments =X
What about some whacky Magic vs. YuGiOh kinda thing? o_o
Warhammer 40k ;D
stickied 'cause its for assisting with future planning of tabletop
The room from 2005 was perfect for Tabletop. 2006's room was terrible. Big, cushy seats, lots of round tables plus long tables, etc. are a necessity.
I'm a huge fan of Apples to Apples, Flux, and lots of nifty games I've never heard of.
I also still want to try a late-night D&D adventure at Fanime sometime.
Well, the room for 2006 wasn't well drawn out, due to confusion and/or miscommunication between HR and the previous Tabletop Heads. The small room, lack of long and round tables, and restricted hours were all due to the "changeover" when I became Head. I am debating putting the Tabketop Room with the rest of Gaming (Arcade and E-Gaming), but that depends on who will be my staff.
Our concrete game so far is UNO aside from the usual TCGs (YGO, UFS, FMA and etc.). I'm not sure if Flux is a popular enough game for a big group to get around, but I'll check it out. Apples to Apples is great enough on its own. I may buy a stack of blank cards and input Japanese Cultural terms on there so it fits in better with the convention.
I'm not certain what hours we will have the room open for 2007. If our staff this coming year is uber-reliable, then we may be able to keep it open until 2 or 3am. If we are able to hold the late hours, then we will be able to hold late nite D&D.
Arcade and e-Gaming are really loud with the music and the people playing the games and people watching. Tabletop gaming is going to be hard to play with the noise -__-
That's one of the many concerns I've had since the idea was mentioned. Thanks for posting your concern. ^_^ I know that's on my "List on Concerns".
Hahaha, Apples to Apples will be around in some form or other next year, even if it's not in Tabletop.
And amen to the UNO tourney! Especially if somebody brings UNO Attack...
Well, I'll probably just allow regular UNO. I don't know how UNO Attack works. ^_^ Lemme see what I can do about it. I'd LIKE to run an UNO and/or Apples to Apples tournament.
I think UNO attacks is another type of UNO with a device that shoots UNO cards =__=
Well, seeing that Tabletop '06 was a horrific spleen-wrenching affair, I'd rather hope we could return to the days of Table '05 with the big tables and much bigger time limit for the room. The game variety was also dissapointing , having only pedestrian TCG's and such. Though, blame for that can be placed as much on the players as it can on the people running the room. At '07, I would hope that the game variety would be a lot higher, cause I can put up with a crappy room, but having nothing to play is inexcusable. What happened to the fun and obscure board games? To Chez Geek and the like? No figure battles?
Nay!
I say we bring our Chez Geeks and our VS Systems! Our Doom the Board Games, our HeroClix, our Warhammer 40k's! Our Twisters and-!
Okay, not Twister, but I think my point was brought across. Or you all think I'm nuts. Here's to hoping for both.
I would take all of the blame of the small room and et cetera for the inconveniences, however at the time I inherited the position, all of the damage had been done. If you have any more repetitive complaints, PM Wirebrain who was the former Head. Since I only had about a month and a half at the most to manage what slim pickings I had from the Heads and from Ebner (Head of Live Programming), it was a nightmare to put so many people into a small room while managing a small staff and rearranging my specialists. We had to close the room down early because the majority of my staff dropped out without telling me, then lied to me, so enough of that blasphamy.
Every room gets one. I'm glad and horrified that Fanime '06 had to be that year, but since I was invited to manage the next year, I am taking suggestions other than ones already mentioned. Constructive criticism is appreciated.
Akira, I'm invited another specialist to the room who holds weekly HeroClix tournaments at the Great Mall in Milpitas, as well as other games. He was in the room this last year. Like posts above yours that you should have read, Warhammer 40k is a maybe.
Glad to see Team Flex will be running the room next year. Lemme know if tabletop gets a good sized room next year. Eu d'Otaku is *not* my scent! :o
* UNO: If I can find it, I'll give my copy to tabletop. It's a cheap game, anyway.
* UNO Attack: VERY good idea. Should be a hit with tabletop.
* Apples to Apples, Chez Geek, Doom: As a demo volunteer for Out of the Box Games, Steve Jackson Games, and FFG, I can supply a copy of these and their other games. SJG also has an anime card game called King's Blood, originally created in Japan.
* Fluxx: Also inexpensive. Another very good game for tabletop.
Cedric.
aka. Washu! ^O^
Well Ced, that's the plan so far. I'd say that around oh... January I'll be slowly releasing which cenemt games I'll place in the room. Maybe I can wish for a good budget to buy some games to stash in rubbermaid bins or something. Any other suggestions? I want to make up for past inconveniences to guests by the former Heads by making Tabletop really awesome this year.
At AOD '06, my room held a late night party where one of the guests was organizing and playing "Anime Sherades". Would anyone be interested in playing at Fanime?
OMG! I LOVE Fluxx!! I got to play a little last Fanime and it was AWESOME! <3
I'd also like to say BESM...I didn't really see anyone playing it when I was around. I mean yeah it takes extra long to create chars...but it's ANIME!! C'mon people what RP could be better then one that lets you play a magical catgirl? <3 <3
BESM as in Big Eyes Small Mouths? I have the Sailor Moon RPG. I played it once in 2001. I was the game master or scoutmaster XD Three of my friends were the players. Two played a Knight and one played a Sailor Soldier.
Late night would be nice I remmber finding nothign to do around 2 in the moring maby it was becasue I was a minor but still...
I dont know if any one is to it but stratego was always a fun one for me and clue... I would love to play clue.
BESM had a CCS game going. I'm going to invite them again for Fanime 07 and give them more advertising because they didn't get what they needed.
Malocide, we probably won't have the Tabletop Room open 24/7 like other years unless I can get a trusting person to stay up all night (or most of it)and manage the room. If I can't get that for my staff, then the room will probably close at 1am or midnight.
They better have a couple Wiis with whatever multiplayer games get big.
We should get Munchkin...I played that yesterday and it was SO cool...ESPECIALLY the Sci-Fi Munchkin *_*
That's already on my list. ^_^ If my friend staffs for me, he can bring all or some of his versions.
Sweet! That'll be totally awesome then! <3 <3
How about some...CALL OF CTHULU! It'd be awesome to play some CoC. I could host the session, if it's alright.
And as far as keeping the room open, the OFNC (Official Fanime Ninja Clan) could handle that easily. We've got 30+ people. AND we're Ninjas.
OMG! That would be SO cool!! Ninjas hosting the tabletop gaming! That could SO be used as a nice draw.
"Yeah you COULD go to the electronic gaming...but we have REAL ninja cosplayers hosting our stuff!!" :twisted:
Well then, large group of ninjas... that is quite a challenge. I only need one or two trustworthy people to watch the room who are under my official staff. If you'd like to staff yourself, or have any others who'd like to staff, let me know personally via my email,
[email protected]. I won't subject volunteers to take over the graveyard, lol. As soon as the staffing website is up, go and sign yourselves up as long as you meet requirements.
BESM would be awesome to have...I have the BESM card game...but it's strange and confusing. Not like Fluxx.
Yeah, tabletop definitely needs a bigger room. In previous years it was consistently overflowing with people at all hours.
Personally, for tabletop gaming I'm mainly about RPGs. There's lots of stuff available that's not well-known, but good for short games with minimal prep, not to mention some nifty anime-inspired games (Ben Lehman is working on a mecha game called Bliss Stage (http://benlehman.thesmerf.com/?cat=6) that looks awesome).
Once it comes together a bit more, I'll have to see if anyone in the Silicon Valley indie gaming group that's being formed would be interested in helping out.
(BTW, not really my thing, but there's a game by Vincent Baker called Mechaton (http://www.septemberquestion.org/lumpley/mecha.html) that I've been hearing good things about).
Yeah some RPG stuff...along with some card games to. Also it needs to feel more welcoming. Like there's times I'd stop by..and everyone was already set up...or was only watching me wander around. No one really invited me to stuff. That can be a real problem ^^; You guys need some greeters..
Well Ayanami... once again to reiterate for everyone, many of the empty holes you saw in Tabletop this year is not my fault. My able staff was only six people covering as many bases as they could while running and aiding tournaments. If you have complaints from Fanime 2006, PM Wirebrain.
*Please remember if I have no already mentioned that I have only been the Tabletop Head for about a month before the convention having a pile or work in my lap among other projects I was working on.*
Alright then, i'll talk to some of the Ninjas, and see who wants the spots.
Just you wait. '07 will be the greatest year for the Table Top room to date.
I wasn't complaining so much as trying to offer constructive criticism. I think the setup of the tabletop gaming is as much important as the location and the games that you have for play...
The emotional end of Tabletop Gaming should be as important as the Physical aspects is all I'm saying...ya know? ESPECIALLY for those who are novices/newbies...or shy people such as myself ^^;
Well from what I've heard, Fanime 07 is going to be very productive with lots of things to do. That means Tabletop is going up as well no matter how obscure many may say, "Tabletop games at an anime convention?"
Sounds really awesome! I can't wait to see it come Fanime time <3
So, would I be able to run a CoC (Call of Cthulhu) game? Cuz' it's the perfect game for those late-night hours...
Did I hear CoC?
:: puts on a chef hat::
Fear the Chef! Making Sandwhiches by day, and killing demons by night.
fwiw, I checked the UNO prices at Toys R Us. The regular game is under $10, but the UNO shooter game is under $25.
Any chance of using volunteers to keep the gameroom 24x7? Or we can just chain Nanashi to a table.
aka. Washu! ^O^
That depends on how big I want my staff, Ced. It usually only takes one (MAYBE two) people to run that room during the early morning and I'd prefer it was an official staff member so they could fulfill their hourly requirements.
I'll check up on that UNO game. All games depend if I get a budget or not.
Found the Fatal Frame print-and-play card game.
If you're interested in it, please let Ska Kitty know on this thread (and yeah, you can play it now and not need to wait for Fanime!).

Well so far Tabletop has some good fortune. At the 10/14 meeting, it was announced that we are in Exhibit Hall 3 with Arcade and E-Gaming. How much space we will be getting out of the hall is not yet confirmed.
We are also making lists of requested games everyone has asked for on the boards to be added into our space (FLUX, Apples to Apples, Munchkin, etc.). Obtaining these games should not be a problem. Please suggest away and I'll see what I can do! :]
So far it sounds like a great list! I'm not exactly sure what all we can add to that list...
If BESM is showing off their card game that would be awesome! I tried to get one of my friends who's really into gaming and has a high IQ to figure out how to play it.....but even he wasn't able to get it very well @.@
I'm waiting on the BESM guy to contact me. As soon as I get an answer from him is he is attending, then I'll post that news. I don't think any of my current staff knows the BESM system or will have time, but I'll try to get our man back in there. :]
Ska_kitti, do you know Tabletop Gaming is going to get cubicle-like furniture to reduce the noise from the Arcade and e-gaming? Or is Tabletop Gaming going to be open area with tables and chairs only? :)
You know ININ... I shoud ask that. All I know so far is that we're going to be in Exhibit Hall 3. I don't know how much of that we're going to get. According to my second in command at the last meeting, the arcade needs ALOT of space. E-Gaming was also uber spread out last year, so they may place them on one side and us on the other. I don't know, but I'll keep you guys posted the moment I do. :]
Yeah having cubicles or like....being spread on the other side would be awesome. Last year the arcades and e-gaming had WAY too much wasted space, it was insane! Like 50% or more was just....empty...although I would say that e-gaming needs even more space then arcades with the crowds that it draws....
Thanks for the update Ska_Kitti XD As long as Exhibit Hall 3 air condition keeps going, I'm cool 8)
Playing Texas Hold'em, the player who gets the Full House on the river is going to be louder than the people playing Soul Caliber LOL!
Yes, you're all very welcome. I hope to keep everyone updated. It's just going to be a wide open space with lots of gaming and gaming. Did I mention gaming?
I had lunch with one of my friends a few days ago. He's going to be playing and demoing Mah Jong at tabletop.
Can we have a Magic: the Gathering Type 2 Constructed tournament? =D
That depends on what my rep wants to run. I'll ask for you and get a solid answer as soon as I have a complete list of which tournaments will be run this coming year. :]
Ooooo! Mah Jong! Yeah that totally sounds really rather interesting to me... :shock:
I'm looking for Mah Jong players as well as Go players. I need
experienced people to demo this game who thoroughly knows the rules and have their own boards and pieces. I'll remind everyone that those who will be demoing Go/Mah Jong will be a part of my staff and will have to fulfill the staff requirements. I will only take those over 18 years of age.
If anyone knows these sorts of people, have them email me please:
[email protected] or just PM me through the boards.
It'd be pretty cool to learn to play those games.
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!
Triple Triad. I love that game, and decks are like 99 cents on eBay for 20 cards. I'd even bet some of the dealers sell em too.
I was actually thinking about that game when I saw your handle. It was a good reminder.
I possibly have one person playing Triple Triad. It depends on what her schedule is. Dealers sell that game for about $10 for a pack.
Also, as another reminder, the same lady who might be playing TT might also bring the Fruits Basket TCG game. I may pick up "rich man poor man" if it is requested.
Yayness! on a scale of one to ten, how possible is it to get candyland?
Haha... I'll see what I can do. Getting certain games are dependant if I have a budget or not.
Late last night I told Moogleburg, best official rover person, about Fluxx and I totally blew his mind on how insane Fluxx is and can be, including blank cards, and Stoner Fluxx :twisted:
Fluxx is both fun and an addicting nightmare...
I'll see about what we can do to provide it so long as it doesn't start any fights...lol...I've seen it...^_^
One day away from talking to the "Giant Talking Head of Programming", Ebner. :] Wush us luck!

I wish you great luck in your endeavours!! Please be sure to let us know if we can help in any way....such as getting petitions signed 8)

Tournament = T
Campaign = C
Confirmed Games:
-YuGiOh (T)
-Naruto (T)

-Texas Hold'em (T)
-BESM (C)
-Mah Jong (D)
-Go (D)
Suggested Games
-UNO
-Flux
-Apples to Apples
-Candy Land
-Monopoly
Pending Games
-Warhammer 40k (C)
-Lord of the Rings (C)
What about Munchkin? Is Muchkin going to be available?
I'm thinking I can borrow my friends set of Munchkin (he has all or most of them). If not, I might be able to buy a set or something. We shall see.
Borrowing is better, I was checking on e-bay, and it costs like $60 for 1-4 >.<
Yikes...I wouldn't worry TOO much about not having Munchkin, he's not staffing this year and doesn't plan to use it at all, so more than likely, yeah, I can get Munchkin from him for Tabletop Gaming Usage...
Oh real quick, I'm the third talking head of the King Ghidorah (PLEASE tell me you've understood the reference, everyone) that we call Tabletop Gaming (Jason Ebner is the Center Head, Ska_Kitti is the Right-hand Head, and I'm the Left-hand Head)
Shadowrun! OMG! It might be a bit involved but if you guys played I'd probably know of some other people that would join!
*EYAAAAHHHH* Yay for being a head of King Ghidorah.
Shadowrun, huh? I'll put that on my "list of things to try and buy". :]
I think it's considered a campaign game like D&D. All you really need is the book and a whole mess of D6's.
It is a campaign game like D&D. It's a lot of fun. There's even a little program that keeps track of your equipment and stats for 2 latest versions. Although I would NOT reccomend anyone playing a Hacker/Decker unless the GM has some real experience with those types of charecters, since they fight in a VR world called...The Matrix. Before anyone says anything....Shadowrun came BEFORE The Matrix movies. ^^;
Chez Geek?
I have all 3 sets in the nice little Block Party... Kinda strange how during a long game, the cards you play start to reflect you IRL...
I don't really know anything about it, but it sounds rather interesting...
I'm thinking of placing an "open gaming" slot (approx. 2-3 hours long) into the schedule where non-scheduled games can come in and bring their own. This does however does demand a list of people who want to bring their own games for the session. I wanted to bring this in so that everyone could have their fair share of game. No worries, this has nothing to do with the budget. Most or all of the suggested games will still be present. Any thoughts?
Hmmmm....Dunno. I don't really have much in the way of gameage that's not on the list ^^;
Hmmmm....Dunno. I don't really have much in the way of gameage that's not on the list ^^;
Open gaming is a good idea. No need to fill every hour with a tournament. The open gaming encourages people to bring their own games and play at Fanime and the opportunity to meet new people :]
Quote from: Ayanami Rei First ChildHmmmm....Dunno. I don't really have much in the way of gameage that's not on the list ^^;
That's why you go to team up with someone else to play their game! I am hoping to have the hours in the evening from starting around 6 or 7pm and running until about 9pm or 10pm.
I would absolutely love wo play some Magic: the Gathering with other people. Maybe even have a draft

I'm pretty sure there will be a draft like last year. I'm always open for T2 constructed =] What decks do you run?

I'm not much into constructed, but I love drafting. Right now I'm building on my last draft deck that was a red/white aggro-ish deck. It's pretty cool. I also like running white/blue control decks, but I'm not very good at those lol
Oh that's cool. I'm a constructed and limited junkie. I draft repacks with my friends to save money.
For constructed, I switch around decks but mostly run black/white control and for casual play I have a Coalition Victory deck that actually wins :3
I have a WotC rep coming to hold a tournament. However, I'm not sure if it's going to be a draft or not. Chances are, it's going to be Type 2. :]
Yeah I could help play other people's stuff, ESPECIALLY if it's Fluxx, I recently taught my cousin how to play that game ^_^ I'm going to send it off with him when he goes away to his army stuff >=) Then Fluxx will help spread around the world, and become mainstream like Uno!! :twisted:
I was wondering something.... I always see these TT tournaments and stuff listed for different cons. What I never see is a time where peeps who are interested in learning how to play a game can come and learn.
Or how about someone to actually discuss what a CCG game is about &/or even it's history. At 2 in the morning with the Console and Computer gaming shut down, I would love to have someone to game with or even learn how to play a game. By then all the gamers seem to have all retreated into their rooms and are having their own gaming thing going on.
I have always wanted to learn and I am a hands on type learner, but if I don't get the opportunity to do it by someone who knows what they are doing I will never learn or get the chance.
So, how about some "Learning to Play" time and experiences in there? Just a thought.

Well, it is a pity that in the previous years of Tabletop we didn't have that luxury of putting up specific times for specific game demos. Fortunately for this year, we have that luxury. Aside from the usual suspects (YuGiOh, Naruto, MtG, Pokemon), I'm working hard to get Mah Jongg and Go brought to Tabletop. I have just enough people to help out for each demo. I'll see about putting in a couple hours of "How to play a TCG". Maybe I'll make it into a panel or something. Thanks for the suggestion.
I wouldn't mind seeing some popular, non-anime-style board games like Puerto Rico or Betrayal at House on the Hill finding their way into the game room.
All I really ask, though, is a larger, cozier, more central room. Tabletop at Fanime 2005 was perfect. 2006's room was about as bad as it gets. It was so sparse, even the really cramped-with-egaming 2004 room seemed like a step up.
Hmm. An odd suggestion, but does anyone want to consider a Lycee table?
If you don't know what that is, well, here:
http://www.geocities.com/max3075/lycee/index.html
and here:

Also, is Poker for FOOD allowed? My friends and I usually bet on food. Like, winner of the Poker game gets his or her food bought at Denny's or something.
Anyone care play a classic RPG? I can bring Teenagers from Outer Space again. It looked too crowded to even try last year, but it got a pretty good reaction in 2004 and 2005. Most of my games last about 3-4 hours and it takes less than 5 minutes for new players to learn. The only potential problem would be noise. Sometimes my games a bit loud, but everyone knows that giant robot rocket punches are powered by the pilots spirit :twisted: . So we probably wouldn't be well liked next to a poker game.
I would be happy to run a game on Friday while I'm still fresh, but if there is enough demand, I could run a second game later on.
Another option that I could do is run a Mekton game. If there is a big enough table (6'x6' ish) and some kind soul that could provide a buch of G Gundam action figures I would love to set up a Battle Royale.
Quote from: Ska_KittiI'll see about putting in a couple hours of "How to play a TCG". Maybe I'll make it into a panel or something. Thanks for the suggestion.
I like the idea of a tabletop gaming panel. I would be happy to work with someone (or two) to talk about mixing anime, manga and their favorite games. My specialty is RPGs and some board games. I'd need help when it comes to TCGs and some of the RPGs that I never got around to playing.
Tabletop 05 waws TOO big for what the previous Head wanted to do. The room was so empty during the entire convention and only a few tables were used by some staff, myself included. I don't really count last year as productive or anything because it was given to me in a mess. I'll talk to Ebner about the panel and get to you guys about it. :]

Last year, we played Texas Hold'Em for prizes. I think we're going to do the same for '07. Am I correct Ska_Kitti? And I'm going to have a sign up sheet for those interested in playing poker outside the con. . . those who want to participate in a poker group ^_^
I've come to that little piece of harsh reality that my usual Poker dealer will probably be having a WoW raid at his place during Fanime. I may deal myself withya ININ. It depends on how big a turnout we get. Don't worry on the sign up sheet. I'll have one waiting there at the beginning of each day.
:] I'm gonna try and buy sleeves for my anime cards and use them. It makes things interesting.
Well last year was a weird time for gaming. I mean look at what they did with the gaming room and the rave!! The rave was overcrowded....while the video games had TONS of wasted space all over!!
What about Illuminati Deuluxe? That's a fun game ^_^
BESM 3.0 <3

Consider me in. This year I am going to get better than third. I can guarantee that. ^_~
I'm definetly up for Texas hold'm. I've got 0 to no skills though, so I'll be knocked out quicker than you can answer the question: Who will win in a fight? Chuck Norris or God!?
Answer: Chuck Norris because he is God!

Wrong....Chuck Norris would die to Jet Li since Jet Li knows TWO forms of H2H combat, Offensive AND defensive, PLUS melee weapons. Therefore Chuck Norris would DIE.
Besides if Chuck was God, then he wouldn't need to get paid, he'd give it away.
Also....count me in for some Texas Hold 'Em fun. I play a little with my friends so I got enough where I could actually compete o.o
There are people interested already. Terriffic. Thanks for posting.
The last time I played poker was on the hottest day in San Jose in 2006. I'm rusty, too :wink:

I hope I can shuffle and deal with the sleeved cards. Wait a sec. Do you want to deal? I can bring my poker chip set again XD
Huh, this year, I'll try to get prizes for winners. Maybe I can scope around the dealer's room for some free stuff to give away, as well as some stuff from my stash.
Ah!

You like Illuminati to?! I only got to play it partway through ONCE...but then my stupid friend dragged me away to take his stupid girlfriend back on time. Grrrr. I'd LOVE to be able to play with you! Please bring a deck if you can and help me learn the game better ^^
Illuminati was a blast - although it has been a while since I played, I think I can remember the rules pretty well. Anyone play Bang?

We should play that game....Nuclear Warefare I think it was called. You get to use Propaganda to steal people's population AKA Health, and then nuke the crap out of them later :twisted:
Well yesterday, I just submitted the floor plan plus requests and all that. All of you will have to be pleasantly surprised when you see it.
Hmmm....spiffy! Well I can't wait to see you in the dealer's room. ^_^
Remember....look for someone tall. I'm 6' 4" <.<;
We're not in the Dealers hall lol. We're in Exhibit Hall 3, the last big room on the Hilton side where Arcade and E-Gaming were last year.

Well regardless you should be looking for me!!
Geeze what's up with me lately? My brain seems to be short circuiting lately or something >.<

i'd be down for some 40k that'd be kool if there was a lot of players
i've got a Dark Eldar army (2500 pts if i throw everything in)
actually...does anyone play warhammer fantasy? ive got both a Dark Elf and a Skaven list (i prolly won't bring them though not enough carspace>.<) but it'd be kool to chat it up and what not
anyone play Warmachine or Hordes? i've got a 750 Merc list and by fanime i should have my Everblight done
I heard Everblight was broken and currently full of awesome. Although there's a new book coming out so that MIGHT change...or they could get more absurd stuff....^^;

My group has 2 Warhammer 40k armies coming (transported lovingly all the way from Reno for this). Neither is mine so I don't know the specifics, but they're both looking forward to a chance to maybe play some 40K. :-)

lolz not as bad as circle imo but their (everblight's) new warlock is hella bad ass i can pm the stats if you want, people usually bitch cause of eyeless sight and slipstream (though that is broke as all hell ala toki)
their new light warbeast is hella savage too =3 to Massacre!!!!!

oh snap what armies!!! i want to see if i should go Wych cult or Wych cult....
Yeah the Legion of Everblight's new stuff makes them crazy powerful.
Also....the main issue with tabletop miniatures is that they take up a lot of time, AND they take up a lot of space ^^;;
Ya the massare animi is crazy but Circle's Morvana is just plain dumb dancing
I'm good for some Warhammer 40k, I've got about 2000 points of Dark Eldar, but my Chaos army is nowhere near playable at this point in time. Also if anyone plays Mordheim I've got a couple warbands to play as well.
I'd also like to see some Magic, Ninja Burger (the card and RPG), Munchkin, Chez Geek, and Settlers of Catan would be great.
Lol. Chez Geek. That card game seemed interesting, along with ninja burger. Now I'll be able to check them BOTH out!! <3
Hey guys, if you want to start a Warhammer 40k game at Tabletop, just PM me and you'll have your space for Open Gaming. Just check the guidelines on the Gaming index. :]

Holy Crap another Dark Eldar player?! Awesome what do you play Wych Cult or standard?

lolz ninja burger they actually sent me and my free shirts, "employee hand books," business cards, and little plastic ninjas and told us to spread the beer engine word @ AX last year
I play standard Dark Eldar. Also that's awesome that Ninja Burger sent you stuff for AX. We'll definately need to get some games going.
ya we do ...but i need to fix up my DE i went from standard to wych so everything is in shambles (damn my compulsive need to mod) but i'll definitely try to get it all fixed up (prolly not painted though...)
Well I hope you can teach us newbies how to play the game and have the proper patience for teaching ^^;;
Well, I know I can teach the Ninja Burger card game, but I don't have much experience GM-ing the RPG.
I've never gm'd (at least not ninja burger) but sure why not!!!
I was actually talking about the card game....but there's an RPG of it? That's absurd!! :shock:
yep it runs on the beer engine!!! (http://ninjaburger.com/rpg/)
Looks like I might just have to be in my Pink Ninja cosplay for this :twisted:
I'd like to see a higher presence of board games, even if they're not really anime-related, like Settlers of Catan, Betrayal at House on the Hill, etc.
Also, it's so good to hear that Tabletop is in a big room again this year!
mDuo, I'm there - I will bring Carcassonne and Settlers. I'm a big fan of board games, although I do love the classic card games like AtoA and Munchkin.
- FF
Munchkin is a classic. I've had some truly epic games at Fanime.
I'm going to do what I can do bring in other board games... Jenga... Monopoly... things like that. If anyone wants to bring their own for the Open Gaming session, please do. It's always good to have extra copies.
Settlers of Katan?! <3 I've SO wanted to play that! I only got to play a partial game, so I've been itching to get another shot at it!! <3 <3 <3
I'm down for some 40k I roll Tau and SpaceMarines!
I have a Go Board, bought it last year out of fun because I like Hikaru no Go. I know the Basics. Want me to bring it? Its a li'l bulky tho as its board is big, even if its not thick D:
I think you should bring it. I bet there'll be a lot of Hikaru no Go fans who'd LOVE to play a little Go ^_^
O noez I cant find my dice Dx btw I think there should be some Call of Cthulhu at Fanime :3
Come by Open Gaming (7pm-2am every night) to find out. :]
I never seemed to find the time..or the people...to play Settlers of Katan. Not to mention I didn't have the patience to wait.
I also forgot to bring my own Nuclear War Weapons of Mass Destruction game. I'm going to have to learn to play that game better...and make other people play it :twisted:
