Yeah, I was thinking about maybe getting a wig. I'll have to check out things. Plus I haven't decided if I want to do her in her bunny outfit or her regular outfit.. or maybe I could do both..

Well you have to admit that it would be almost unavoidable to have multiples of a character, even when planned.
Another Itsuki here. One, because he's my favorite character. And B, because he has the longest hair of the guys.
The only alternative would be...Taniguchi was it? (Kyon's friend with slicked back hair)

hey same as pockystix, i think i got the dance down. we need to get to gether and practice somewhere. i think i found a place in Westlake (Daly City) where we can like use a room where there's mirros on the wall so we can practice. i got my laptop and speakers that we can use if we are able to go. but just letting you know that i dont know how if we can use that room, i will found out soon though dont worry about that. i can't count on getting the room so dont have high hopes for it, but we will practice somewhere.

Only thing I can say is that you actually try something like that, it would be entertaining; but wrong. But it's all up to you, and if any of your Mikuru cosplayers would agree to something like that; which I highly doubt...

At the Scotts Valley Safeway, they are selling witch costumes for under $20. If you need something "witchy" for the cosplay, this is a viable option.

sadly, no. I just have long brown hair, and don't want to cut it or spend $40 on a short brown wig.

I've never seen Haruhi before, but I just learned how to do the Hare Hare Yukai dance for Anime Expo this year, so what about getting a lot of people(doesn't matter what they cosplay as) to do the Hare Hare Yukai dance after the gathering? I think it'd be fun ^^

It's too late for the masquerade thing because there wouldn't be enough time to practice. Everyone basically lives far away from each other in the bay. All the other information is always update on the first post.
I posted the gathering date & time at the official gathering list thread, so hopefully last-minute people who haven't posted on this thread stating their presence will attend. ;)

I cant believe I didnt notice this thread sooner.
I just got my Haruhi ribbon in the mail off ebay making my costume complete. Just in case I've been practicing the dance (short version) cause I knew there would be a chance I would get dragged into it and would look like a fool if I didnt know it. The dance would be fun, I just hope I can remember all the steps, the ending is the hardest part for me and I've only ever practiced alone, not in a group.
Edit: Oh we should have lessons before the big dance so other people who havnt seen the show or are interested could learn and dance along. The more the merrier!!

AGREED! Even though I had to leave before we could really get the dance off the ground, it was still hella fun, and completely worth sticking around!
