1. Naruto
2. FF series (esp FF7)
3. FMA

cosplayers, in that order.

not a bad thing, just maybe it'd be nice to see more variety in series...

Well, Fanime 06, I'd have to say was a tie between Naruto and FMA. And I'd still say they're tied for any Anime Convention.

Bleach coming in second place. Lotsa Advent Children/FF stuff too.

I'm gonna say Naruto. I dont know about the others, but Naruto for SURE.

Maybe cuz anyone can get a headband and it's so frikin popular.

But mostly because the costumes arent that hard and anyone can get the main point of cosplaying Naruto: the headband. Dude, when stores like HOT TOPIC start selling those, you know it's the start of SOMETHING.

The problem with hot topic is they only sell Naruto's headband, NOT Gaara-sama's headband T_T T_T

You also forget the ever-so-infamouse Vash cosplays~ Ha ha. Those are just as common as Ed's I believe. But, I think their era might have just ended... D:

I was in the FMA group so I know Naruto kicked our butts.

Teh Gasperz! Why? How?! Actually, most anime conventions I've seen(online >.>) usually have a Vash group that goes around and just have fun and randomly hug people and stuff

1.naruto
2.bleach

I'd say Naruto, Bleach, Kingdom Hearts, then FF and FMA.

OMG.  :shock: +  :D This is why I don't buy cosplays at hot topic.

I definatly believe we'll see a rise in Bleach cosplayers in '07.

Here's hoping for some Shakugan no Shana cosplay.

There's definitely too much Naruto cosplay, especially because people can buy most everything they need. Many people just wear the headband with their normal clothing! I'd also agree that there are lots of Bleach and FMA people, but it seems as if these people are actually making their costumes, so I'm fine with that. However, I have seen some awesome Naruto costumes that people have made, and props to them for not going to Hot Topic.

I'd have to say: FF charachters, Vash, Sailor Moon and Scouts, Naruto, FMA, (Bleach- I'm going as Orihime. xD), Chii. (tons of lolitas too.)

Saw Naruto and Kakashi jackets at Hot topic (Valley Fair) a couple days ago.  :lol:

There's definitely an abundance of Naruto.  But that's not really a bad thing.  As I see it people should cosplay as whoever they want, however they want.  It's just hall cosplay, we're just having fun.  I'm personally looking forward to gaggles of "Narutards" at the con, have my camera all ready to take pics of everyone I can, even if I've seen the costume 800 times before.  But then again...I'm a total dork.  :-)

Does nobody remember the incredible preponderance of Bleach cosplayers last year? They almost outnumbered the narutards.

i remember at ax06, there was hundreds.  like... stairs and balconys full.  it was... impressive.  :-)

Easily Naruto.

FF doesn't get that much and it's only for FF7/FF10/X-2, even then it's mostly certain characters (Cloud/Vincent/Sephiroth/Tifa/Turks/the three new guys from AC). Bleach we'll probably see a good amount of this year. One Piece......it's more of people mostly doing Luffy and the occasional Zoro, but little to none of any other character. FMA is nowhere near close and the rate might probably fall since the series already ended and the movie came out too. EVA you don't see nearly any, just the occasional Rei in plugsuit/group of EVA characters.

I'm sure things will probably change from year to year

its probably going to be bleach this year.

and yeah- I saw that mother of a narutard, I actually talked to her and her daughter cause we were eating at the same table.  Really nice people :D
