QuoteDuring an after-recording session of the TV anime series Death Note on 11/3, Hirano Aya collapsed, found to be having high temperature, and was rushed to the hospital. All her subsequent events are being cancelled.
On Aya's offical web site Aya Dama, she wrote on 11/5 that she had to cancel upcoming events as per her doctor's recommendation.
Meanwhile, some "insiders" indicated that the cause of her illness was that her management agency gave her too many works: 7 regular roles, 3 radio shows, and at the same time she was an university student. Many fans started to file complains to the management agency. Some have even operated a table in the streets of Akiba asking others to make thousand-feather-crane and signs of 'get well' messages.....
On the site the agency apologizes for the inconvienence of all future events being delayed. No other news besides Aya-san's signature on a note that basically says she's ok and is sorry she can't make the events.
Aya-san is pretty popular since the Haruhi movement, and now somehow... things fall apart.
This speaks a lot about seiyuu life in Japan. Your agency determines your schedule of life; you cannot deny any sort of request/signup your agency gives you.
7 Regulars, 3 Radios, AND University... poor Aya.
It's a little old, so she may be back on her feet already.... but still, don't overdo it Aya-san; keep going forward OSU OSU OSU!

The dark side of the seiyuu business... I wonder if she ever has time to herself, she's such a busy girl and only 20, too. Her latest diary entry was on the 12th, so maybe she has gotten better. But if she hasn't, I wish the best of health and luck for her soon.
I'm glad she's resting, she needs it. It seems like she recieved a lot of flowers, too. :3
I hope she's fine. My best wishes to you Hirano-san!
Dang.....its sad to see how the hard the seiyuu business can be....hope she recovers...(prays)
