Well, that one topic made me wonder. I mean, we all know how infamous gainax is with wacked out endings. Anyone think of a series where there wasn't a deus ex machina cop out? Not saying crazy ass endings make an Anime bad (Mahoromatic, MoO..etc etc).

But for me, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water was one of my personal gainax favorites. Any thoughts?

probably Eva, Gunbuster2 for its craziness and Wings of Honneamise.

FLCL sucks, yea I said it. Possibly the first guy in this universe to admit that I dislike this series. The Pillows rock tho.

I still want to watch Abenobashi.

Hard to pick one, but I'd probably go with Gunbuster 2.

Can't say I liked Eva, Gunbuster 2, Mahoromatic, or Kono Mini enough to call them a favorite in any category (though I only saw like two eps of Kono Mini, so I could still change my mind on that). Haven't seen anything else by GAINAX.

Unless you count Daicon IV. I'd put that as #2, otherwise.

P.S. the typo in the thread title make me laugh. It reminds me of the "You're Winner!" screens in Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. I read it and I think, "You are favorite Gainax anime!" being spoken by a cute Japanese girl with an exaggeratedly bad accent.
