Continuing from where we left off on the backup boards.
Because Momo is a journalist and therefore is all kinds of awesome.
I'm still leaning towards Mikan at this point. :3
Preferance may change over time with more episodes though.
This season full of loli shows is going to be....fun....

Hmm, I'd have to say I a little half-an'-half between Mucchii and Mikan. Mikan is very cute, and it is hard to defy the :3-ness. And Mucchii for the, well, obvious reasons. Thought the second seems like a character that wouldn't get much love from the fans...
I really like both Minabi and Mikan. Mikan is just sweet while Minabi is rather random, eccentric, etc but she has a good heart. I'm still struggling to decide between the two. Probably more episodes will flush it out for me. Episode 2 provided much love for the two. OwO
Moe seems a lil misceivous in the first episode and for that trait I like her as well. Basically all the characters have some likeable about them.

I finally saw the episode last night and I have to agree with Spirit. It was YURILICIOUS.
Plus Momo wearing the radioactive suit was funny as hell. I can see her having a tape deck, play hair metal and come from the planet vulcan* XD

In the meantime, I've had the opportunity to read chapters 1-4 of the manga - and what they decide to show in the manga ultimately boosts Mikan's ranking enough to the point where it barely clears the tsundere awesomeness of Mei:

You'll notice that Momo's still on the top -- well, the manga solidifies that position like crazy. Not only does Momo have a different font (it's shorter in the scanlation, but I'm going to guess that she's the only character who has the Cute Bubbly Fontâ,,¢), but her actions are waaaaaay more deliberate and waaaaaaaaay more becoming of a journalist itching to get the scoop. :D I APPROVE!

That's the reason i'm sticking with .avi and Xvid. It looks so much nicer on my laptop.
Was it just me that during the entire episode felt that there were some shoujo-ai undertones? or am I making up the whole thing? I don't have a ranking for any of the girls. Each and everyone of them is special and dear to my heart lol :P
I use MKV for three reasons:
1) They work fine on my computer
2) I can disable the softsubs and thus take clean screencaps
3) I can demux the package and do whatever (e.g. grab the fonts if I like them, redo the subs if I'm a bit iffy about them, or rip the audio file and slip it into my MP3 player on a dorky note).
When you start studying on the eve of the exam (aka midnight) and you have 3 chapters to study and you have 2 other assignments and 2 other midterms. :P
At least you're not binging Classical Music for 10 hours to fufill the requirement you've been putting off due to new series and golf :lol:

Nope. Perfect MKV play is certainly within your reach if my 3~5 year old laptop can play them. XD

Hmm, for some reason, it's quite choppy for me. Most of the mkvs play fine; Manabi Straight is, for some reason, choppy.
What are you using to play MKVs?
I honestly don't care which format I get. I play each flawlessly. For the record, I use MPC & CCCP.

I use MPC, and Zoom. Windows Media Player 11 and Divx player occassionaly to watch anime. playing .mkvs on VLC is so baaad XD

Mucchi's still at the bottom of the list. Both Mei and Mikan have gained some points, but ranking is still unchanged. Momo's working on permanently securing her first place ranking through doing such things as taking tests without looking at them at all.

After watching Episode 7, things just get better and better. The story is about to take an interesting turn...
Poor Momo gets ignored a lot in this ep...but the preview for Ep. 8 shows that it could be Momo-centric. Then again, the episode previews don't really show much in the first place.

Especially for the opening kick and Mei hitting Manabi 3 different times with the fan and sending her flying in a spiral.
