Title: Open Gaming @ Tabletop
Post by: Ska_Kitti on March 15, 2007, 04:24:28 PM
Tabletop Gaming has open gaming hours in the evening all evening, every evening!

Bring your games and we'll bring ours! All games are welcome! Monopoly, Jenga, UNO, LIFE, Simpsons Chess, all are welcome.

Want space to run your own campaign? Have an old set of MageKnight, D&D or Warhammer you want to share? Email [email protected] or PM me here to reserve a table. Reservations are first come first served.  If I get several requests for Warhammer and etc, I'll just post one, maybe two tables for each game, dependant on how many responses I get. If you do sign up, you will have to bring your own supplies and be responsible for your own supplies. Space is limited. I'll post the reservations here. Campaigns can be held from Fri-Sun so it's possible to get in a full game.

Suggest a game you don't own on this thread and maybe, just maybe someone will have a copy to bring with them! Out of luck? We'll bring it ourselves. Suggest away!

But seriously.  Much fun may be had with just a deck of cards as well. :D

Anyone a fan of Order of the Stick, Arkham Horror, or Twilight Imperium? Granted, the latter may take all day...

how about risk ?

Last year my sister and her boyfriend brought the Futuristic version of Risk (I forget the name...but it's Risk in the future).  But they never brought it down to play (they're as chicken as I am to approach new people).  I'll try to get them to bring it again if anyone is interested in playing.

Well another problem I noticed was that there weren't a lot of people playing tabletop games most of the time, and if they were it was usually those collectible card games. I think there should be more advertisement for tabletop games, and maybe some people running some demos or something.

On that note I might be bringing Red Dragon Inn...or possibly something smaller if I get that for Christmas.

Oh, we had Bandai, Sabertooth and Tablestar doing demos for all four days. :] Check the schedule more, okay? TCGs also fall under my jurisdiction. I also had my WotC rep brng his massive collection of games this past year. He DOES have a copy of Risk, but decided not to bring it this year. Maybe I'll set up a time for only that game to be played... maybe a tourney or something.

It's a little early for me to commit to anything just yet, but I'm thinking of putting on a panel about Japanese tabletop RPGs, and I may have a game to run in English too.
