From the preview it looks like the story will have more foundation around Subaru, but then again it IS just 30 seconds.

From the preview, it looks like I'm going to start watching Nanoha... Is it me, or does she look older?

Post by: Tsubasa on March 28, 2007, 08:29:18 PM
Awesome.  As if I need any more reason why this is my most anticipated series of Spring 2007. =P

The song running in the background is probably the new OP.  Kinda hard to really gauge with only the 30 secs.  Kinda sounding like standard Mizuki Nana if you ask me.  I was hoping for something epic after ETERNAL BLAZE.

New all-star seiyuu are slated for the cast.  I guess I'll be looking forward to Saitou Chiwa as Subaru.  And although Tiana interests me more as a character, she's voiced by Nakahara Mai and I can't say I'm a huge fan.  Itou Shizuka is slated for Sally, who will probably remain a minor role. ; ;  And I'm sure everyone wants to hear Sugita Tomokazu as Chrono and Ono Daisuke as Verossa (they're good friends, FYI).

Anyone else following the A's to StrikerS and/or Starting Stars comics?  Quite the fun read and great primer going into the series.

Quote from: ChunFrom the preview it looks like the story will have more foundation around Tiana, but then again it IS just 30 seconds.
The new main character should be Subaru.  Tiana will probably also share much of the limelight cause she's basically Subaru's partner.  They're both in the Stars unit with Nanoha at the command and Vita as sub-commander.

By any chance, does the Nanoha series stand alone? For example, could I watch Nanoha season 2 without watching season 1 (same question applies for 3, though I suppose that's harder to answer since it isn't out)?

No, they do not.  It's not advisable to jump into any Nanoha without a full background in the prior series.  They depends kinda heavily on the earlier series to establish conventions, such as magics and terms, and character context.

They're all a good watch though, so it'll be an enjoyable trip. ^^

Impressions from watching episode 1 raw:

-The OP is better than I expected from just the 30 sec clip.  I'm rather liking it.  The ED is pretty nice too.
-Animation quality overall is pretty good.
-As the preview might suggest, the episode's very Subaru & Tiana centric.  It's fun to see how they've progressed from the Starting Stars manga.
-I'm liking Subaru more than I expected.  Seeing her in motion helps I guess.  I'm liking Tiana about as much as I expected.
-Donna Burke's English is better this series.  I hope that keeps up. ^^;
-I like older Nanoha too. XD
-The episode 2 preview shows more Subaru & Tiana.  I'm wondering when Elio & Carol come into the picture.

Fan notes:
-Subaru's magic circle is blue.  Tiana's is orange.  For anyone who didn't catch it in any kind of information yet, Subaru's a Belka-type (read: triangle-shaped circle) and Tiana's a Mid-Childa-type (circular).
-They both use the command phrase "shoot."  I was expecting one of them to use "fire" or something else.
-This has interested me for a while, but why does Cross Mirage (Tiana's device) use a cartridge system?  From my understanding, that's supposed to be pretty non-standard in Mid-Childa devices.
-Kinda disappointed that Revolver Knuckle (Subaru's device) and Cross Mirage aren't intelligent devices.  We don't get to hear more German and English.
-There's a brief bit in the OP with a girl with a square magic circle.  Do I sense the introduction of a new magic system?

I'm totally psyched for more. XDDDDDDDDDDD

My first impressions for the raw:

-Oh wow, this new view of the inner world and such is really depicted well; training sections and the like. Looking forward to more background designing.
-The magic in both Subaru and Tiana's devices is very practical, unlike the intelligent devices as previously mentioned. Perhaps they will receive and upgrade when they rank up from their rookie status (Implication due to the changes made to Nanoha's device from standard to cartridge type).
-I like Hayate much more now that she's become of age (Previous series I really only enjoyed a certain extent), Fate obviously has kept her awesome, and Nanoha is much more likeable in a "kakkoi onee-chan" sort of way than cuteloli (Might help because they're not loli? XD).
-OP and ED are once again GREAT pieces of music. I'm not skipping tracks this time either.
-Rein Rein Rein Rein Rein! I missed seeing mini support characters! She really adds a good character to the whole.
-Episode 2 previews with pajama time. (http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/3734/snapshot20070402044127bl5.jpg) Lol... I suppose they're getting over their S1 EP 4 Jitters early XD. Totally suggestive material already. <3 Sleepyhead Fate~
-Time to see Fate own next episode!

Quote from: Tsubasa-This has interested me for a while, but why does Cross Mirage (Tiana's device) use a cartridge system? From my understanding, that's supposed to be pretty non-standard in Mid-Childa devices.
-I've always just assumed that the cartridge system was an imminent and common upgrade with the raging technology evolution that may have happened between S1 and now. I don't remember anything in S2 suggesting that it was an irregular addition to Nanoha's Raging Heart.

Quote-There's a brief bit in the OP with a girl with a square magic circle. Do I sense the introduction of a new magic system?
-This may be the irregularity that will ensue an appropriate plot pursual; perhaps this girl is the anomaly? (And I hope I wasn't the only one going, "...Rider?")

In general, it delivered. I'm content and can't wait to see more.

Oh, and before:

It seems I messed names up there. I meant Subaru, but came out as Tiana. Don't know how that works.

While intelligent/armed devices are the standard among Nanoha main characters, there are advantages to others.  I take it that Cross Mirage is a storage device like the standard-issue staves of TSAB enforcers.  These are able to process magics quicker because they aren't bogged down by AI.  Users of storage devices also cannot become dependent on said AI.  Revolver Knuckle, on the other hand, is a type of device that has never been presented before: a Belka-type device that has no intelligence capability.  Both previous Belka device types presented in A's, armed and unison, have intelligence capability (however limited in armed devices).  An equivalent to the Mid-Childa storage device has also not been documented in official information either (more like the Nanoha Visual Fanbook, where most of the official word on Nanoha magic comes from).  Maybe we'll get more info later.  They still have to explain what a boost device is too (Carol's device).

Edit:
Upon looking back, perhaps Belka armed devices are similar to Mid-Childa storage devices.  It has been proven that some storage devices can speak (Durandal), while most do not.  That would explain why Graf Eisen, Laevatein, and Klarwind can talk, while Revolver Knuckle cannot.

Quote from: ChunNanoha is much more likeable in a "kakkoi onee-chan" sort of way than cuteloli (Might help because they're not loli? XD).
I would argue that she's been just as awesome in all series, but that's just the Nanoha fan in me talking.  Anyway, yah, her new role/type is very enjoyable.

The cartridge system is standard in Belka-type armed devices.  It's non-standard in Mid-Childa-type intelligent devices because of potential instability and the strain on the user; that's why it was such an unusual upgrade to Raising Heart and Bardiche.  On second thought, since Cross Mirage has no intelligence capability, it might not be too unusual and maybe my impressions have just  been skewed by Nanoha main character standards, when storage devices are supposed to be, by far and large, the predominant device type in the Nanoha world.

Edit:
Re-reading Starting Stars chapter 1, Tiana describes it as a "Belka cartridge system."  Leaving doubts in my mind that it's a common upgrade to Mid-childa devices.

Ok, I just finished watching this.

Episode 1 Impressions:

Wow. It feels like I've never left this world at all. I like how the older original trio have become commanders in a way and have taken in new recruits. This episode is more like a training episode so to speak for the 2 new main characters, Teana and Subaru. I like the designs and how they use their weapons and how Subaru has basically paid an homage or tribute to Nanoha's special attack move and made it her own.

The thing is, it feels like there is some sort of backstory prior to this and I guess this is why the StrikerS manga was created, as to fill in the 4 years before the start of the series and how Subaru came to be. The opening prologue was cool, but it needed a little bit more oomph so to speak. I guess I'll read the scanlations when they come out, at least for Volume 1 of the StrikerS manga.

But overall, I enjoyed it, glad to see familiar faces in more of a back supporting roles, but of course, it's named MGL Nanoha for a reason and she will take center stage once again. I wonder how the plot will be after the 1st episode. Overall, I enjoyed it. 4 stars.

Yesy released a speed sub.

For a team of five QCs you'd think someone would bother to get a few contexts right here and there...

Particularly iffy:

*Official Romantisation for "Tiana"; subbed as "Teana".

Wouldn't "Teana" be TEH-AN-AH, rather than TEE-AN-NA?

*Fate's new Last name, "Haraoun/Halloun"; subbed as "Harlaown"(...Somehow more awkward than the rest...)

Somehow the w and combination l and a look strange...

*Various grammar errors/direct transition of engrish.

But overall satisfying.

Well, what did you expect? it was a speed-sub after all ;P at least Yesy-Fansubs is the more qualified of the 2. Subaru is actually kinda cool. Although she is different from my usual likes, I think she may be ones of my faves of the new crew. Though I'll wait and see after everyone is introduced.
From initial images, I didn't think that she would be a character that I would like. Tomboys aren't always on my list but they do appear there from time to time. OwO

From the usual crew: Yay for Hayate, Nanoha, Fate and Reinforce! XD

I can't wait to watch more.

1st episode done by #Nanoha and DGz is out. I saw it already and i'm definately sticking with them. The video raw that they used was pretty sweet and it looks awesome, so i guess it must be the HD Raw that came out a few days ago, and it looks pretty awesome encoded with XviD, Their translations are more literal and they are using the official names from the website.

I will redownload their versions of Nanoha Season 1 and 2 cause it's .h264 and from what i hear, they cleaned up the translations that The Triad used. :D

The new characters are pretty solid and full of character, and the overall plot looks fun and enjoyable. Nanoha is freakin old and fate is a dyme, I'm so not used to this.

1. Reinforce II is cute as hell. (is it frowned upon to think this way?)
2. We need more Vita.
3. We need more Nanoha's mom.

Episode 2 raw: watched.

-Some exposition on the fire that Subaru was caught in, as seen in last episode.
-Results of the exam announced.
-The introduction of Erio and Caro.
-Wolkenritter returns! XD

Highlight for this episode for me was Wolkenritter.  Caro is also quite cute.  And more Rein for you fans.  She is indeed adorable, but I'm still not a huge fan yet.

And here I am considering my options.  There are three groups subbing the series.  I will most likely keep only one group's version.  I've checked out all of their first episodes and, in the case of Nanoha-DGz, two episodes.  Here are some impressions:

yesy:
-Official romanizations
-Acceptable translations

Nanoha-DGz:
-Mix of official & non-official romanizations (non-official: Tiana, Elio, Kyaro, Zafira)
-Overall good translation
-Fastest group (?)
-Device engrish cleaned up

Triad:
-Non-official romanizations carried over (Raging Heart, Hallaoun, etc.), but new ones, so far, are official
-Overall good translation
-Slowest group (?)
-Device engrish cleaned up

I'm ruling out yesy because I've never thought their translation quality to be that good.  Passable, but not good.  Nanoha-DGz and Triad each have their hiccups.  Right now it's a coin-toss, IMO.  If either group would just try to use official romanizations, I would have had to side with them.  I may just decide to keep the Triad version for consistency in my Nanoha subs, as I saw Nanoha and A's subbed by them.

On another note, while browsing the main site (http://nanoha.com/), I noticed that the Saint Church will be involved.  They mentioned and briefly showed a Belka knight by the name of Carim (http://nanoha.com/character/carim.html) in the A's to StrikerS manga.  I've always wanted to know more about her.  Here's to hoping she does something in the anime.

Episode 3 raw down.

Formation of the Lost Property Riot Force 6.

Cool episode.  We get to see more of the new characters.  Erio and Caro do something for the first time, giving us more information about their devices and abilities.

Erio:
-Yellow Belka circle

Device: Strada
-Like almost every other Belka armed device we've yet seen, it speaks German.

Caro:
-Point of discussion: she has a standard Mid-Childa magic circle around her when she casts, but a square magic circle appears at the area of effect.  Color: pink.  Hopefully they'll explain it soon.
-So far, only support and capture magic.
-Friedrich, her familiar, is her offense.

Device: Kerykeion
-The first boost device introduced in the series.  Up until now, there hasn't been much information available about them.  From this episode, we can gather that these devices support other mages by "boosting" their abilities.  I like to think of it like buffing in RPGs.
-It speaks.  English.  Probably a Mid-Childa device.

-----
Other random episode comments:
-<3 Wolkenritter
-Vice is a cool guy
-Shario/"Shirley" is finally introduced.  I hope she has a bigger role than I initially thought.
-The very end of the episode suggests that Nanoha and Fate share the same bed.  Yet more service for the NanohaxFate fans.

I thought she was cute from the beginning and I'm liking Caro quite a bit now.  A girl after my own heart.  I always play the support roles in games. =P

Episode 4 raw: watched.

-More time with the young forwards.
-Nanoha is god tier.
-Introduction of Carim.
-Device tweaks and such.  The--perhaps expected--upgrade (it was in the episode 3 preview, so you can't say I'm spoiling).

The episode cleared up a question in my mind: can Caro boost Belka knights?  Yes, yes she can.

Carim is cool.  I wonder if she'll ever do anything.  She is a knight.  At least she and Shari get screen time.  Caro is still cool.

Otherwise there was some story and I look forward to the next episode.

Just watched 5 raw.

-Pretty actiony.  I rike.
-Transformation sequences! XDDDDDD
-Very Caro-centric episode.  Banzai!

I'll definitely open the episode frequently to watch the transformation sequences over and over.  Much like A's episode 4.  They were all pretty cool, but obviously some were IMO better than others.  If I had to rank them: Nanoha (as if you didn't see that one coming), Subaru, Fate, Teana, Caro, and Erio.  Caro's sequence is comparatively plain. ; ;  Erio's sequence is the only one where there's no nudity. lawl

I enjoyed the background on Caro.  And she did some pretty nifty things this episode.  That's a "yay" in my book.

The end of the episode hints at a thickening plot.  Egad!

Kind of troublesome to register and hunt the site down for the general populace, since it's inferred that proper research has been done for the appropriate subtexts.

But to reinterate any statements, there are quite a lot of contextual errors due to the previous series, as well as some pretty bad QC action going on in the subtitles. That's my observation off the top of my head.

I assure you, no hunting was involved.

As for the contextual errors and bad QC action, would it hurt to share them? I am in no way saying that the english used in the subs is perfect, but we try.

If you have a valid issue, bring it up.
Title: Nanoha StrikerS: Ep17, Geass Nooooooooo!

I have some pretty demanding and perhaps unique tastes when it comes to subs.  I like it when they strike just the right balance between standard vernacular and something a bit more proper.  And, this usually affects most subbers, I prefer translations to be as literal as possible without having it actually interfere with the translation and proper English grammatical flow.  As a general rule, I am almost never fully satisfied with any sub.  And, in fact, all the subbers for StrikerS have some major hits against them at this point.

As for yesy, granted I haven't watched all their projects, but I have watched all of their Utawarerumono, parts of Soul Link, a few episodes of Mai-Otome, and the first episode of StrikerS.  As I stated earlier, I find their translations watchable.  Sometimes, I think the translations are stretched perhaps a bit too far from their literal meaning.  They are acceptable, but I would rather less interpretation.  And, this might only be an issue to me, but from what I've seen, yesy tends to lean towards the more colloquial side of the translation spectrum.  In some segments, more "proper" English may have been a better choice.

Those are my general thoughts on yesy.  It's really not so much technical problems with the translations, because they do do their job, but more like they disagree with me.  Granted, most of those issues were from only extended exposure to Utawarerumono, but the glimpses I took into the other series didn't really disprove my already established conceptions.  On the subject of StrikerS, I admit that perhaps I didn't give it enough of a chance, but episode one felt like other yesy translations to me.  I'll consider catching up on their releases though cause the issues with Nanoha-DGz are piling up.  Non-official romanizations and their translation of "kishi" in episode four*?  Bleh.

If further specifics are needed, I could actually run through episodes and try to find things, but only if it's imperative cause I'm lazy.

Edit:
I have since downloaded yesy's StrikerS episode 4.  From a skimming over, I think I have less qualms with it than the Nanoha-DGz version.  I think I'll download and re-evaluate the yesy subs.

*Literal translation: "knight."  Translated as "lady."  Taken in context, the latter makes a lot of sense, but I believe it to undermine Carim and Hayate's status as rare-ability users of the ancient Belka magic system.

Episode 7:

-The entire episode was bogged down by rather poor animation and art direction.  I guess it had to happen sooner or later.  Not exactly Nanoha episode 5 or A's episode 7, but pretty noticeably bad.
-I really wanted to enjoy Nanoha in formal wear, but I couldn't.  In addition to the horrible art, her dress was just bad.  Fate made out better.  And Hayate made out quite good all considered.
-Quite a bit of Wolkenritter.  With transformation sequences too.  Although they are shorter than everyone else's and they are bogged down by the animation.
-Lutecia is introduced.  She seems like a cool character, but I'm not really wowed at her powers.  They just don't do it for me.
-Yuno and Verossa make their appearances.
-In the end, it's kinda a Teana-centric episode.  Can't say I mind. :3

Oh, and having watched the subbed episode 6, I just have to say that it has cleared up a point of speculation I've had since episode 5: modern Belka is a combination of the ancient Belka and Mid-childa magic systems.  I suspected as much.  How else could they have intelligent devices?  And why else would Subaru call it a "jacket?"  In ancient Belka, that'd be "katchuu" or armor.

Aside from that, it was a pretty good episode for the Subaru and Teana fans.  Really demonstrates their bond.  It's a beautiful thing.

-Cross Mirage's Mode 2 is pretty cool.  Is it really that easy to remove the limiter? XD;

Lutecia's powers is fitting for her but at the same time kinda disappointing. I was hoping for more wow... -.-;

I kinda liked seeming them in the formal dresses but I do agree that the animation was a little poor and took away from its awesomeness...

Tea's emo-ness annoyed me... I wanted to slap her. Its one thing to push yourself but don't be stupid about it... -.-;

hmm... I don't remember that green haired guy from A's.. Was he introduced in the manga?

Concerning ep. 9, I was also wondering where they got that footage. -.-; I guess the info they gave on nanoha's incident happened in the manga? (I'll look at manga later... btw, is the manga only three chapters or more?)

They don't give any more exposition than they did in the anime.

There are three chapters of A's to Strikers.  Then there's another five or so chapters of Starting Stars.  I don't remember the exact number and I'm too lazy to dig up my issue of Megami.  I think the last chapter ran in the May issue.

Ep 11:

For anyone who feels like this series needs more direct human opposition, you'll love this episode.  Division 6 engages other people for the first time.

-Considering the pretty bad string of animation in recent episodes, this episode picks up quite a bit.
-Chrono makes his appearance.  I never expected him to show up after Yuuno.  And having him voiced by Sugita Tomokazu is just a little weird. ^^;
-Ginga demonstrates the device given to her by Division 6.  So cool.  Now show me Carim doing something. XD
-Hayate in armor is never bad. :3
-Aside from Lutecia, I'm not really feeling the new antagonists.  At least, not yet.  Since this is Nanoha, I'm sure they'll grow on me.

The next episode should continue the action.  I can't wait.

Ep. 12:

-Continuation of the action.  Even more enemies introduced.  I think they hold a bit more promise than before, but they still need development.  At the least, their powers are interesting.
-The young forwards take more of a backseat role this episode, as others steal the spotlight: Nanoha, Fate, Hayate, Vita, and Rein being the notables.  Kinda nice considering how those characters haven't gotten as much time this series.
-Not much, but a bit more Ginga.  She's quickly becoming one of my top new characters.
-They show a picture of Lindy.  Still sekushii. XD
-Signum, once again, gets no love.  And I want to see Schach in action.  Why do you tease me so?  I can't even make out what kind of device she has.

I think the show is getting rather interesting.  Well, moreso.  I've always thought it interesting. XD;

And, a point of discussion I didn't note last entry, I noticed last episode that Hayate can create Mid-Childan magic circles.  Not the circle she stands on, but others which she shoots from.  She continues in this episode.  I guess this clears up a point of speculation relating to her official designation as a "madoukishi" in the A's epilogue.  FYI, Mid-Childa magicians are "madoushi," (magician) while Belka are "kishi" (knight).  I'm assuming it's magic stored in the Yaten no Sho/Book of the Twilight and that her spells are still overwhelmingly Belkan though.

Quote from: Sunara IshiFinally got around and watched ep. 7 and 8... -.-;

Lutecia's powers is fitting for her but at the same time kinda disappointing. I was hoping for more wow... -.-;

I kinda liked seeming them in the formal dresses but I do agree that the animation was a little poor and took away from its awesomeness...

Tea's emo-ness annoyed me... I wanted to slap her. Its one thing to push yourself but don't be stupid about it... -.-;

hmm... I don't remember that green haired guy from A's.. Was he introduced in the manga?

But maybe its because they are grown up that I don't recognize them... -.-; Yuuno and the other guys look so different...

I seen 9 eps soo far. What website can I order the manga? I wanted to look at it for more details and stuff.

Ep 13:

Very plot heavy.  Lots of talking.  Some of it went completely over my head. XD;

-<3 Nanoha w/children.
-We get to see what Schach's device is.  I kinda surmised about as much, but it was extremely vague last episode.
-Subaru & Teana are still quite the pair.
-I admit that Fate saying "oniichan" is rather cute.
-More Carim prease.
-I'm wondering where this internal conflict plot point is going.

I know Spirit and I were wondering about this before, but I've got confirmation that the second half of StrikerS will have a new OP & ED.  Source?  CDJapan and their preorders. XD;

New OP: Mizuki Nana - Massive Wonders (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=KICM-1211)
New ED: Tamura Yukari - BEAUTIFUL AMULET (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=KICM-1212)

I have a lot of expectations for these new themes.  I really like SECRET AMBITION and Hoshizora no SPICA, but a change isn't bad.  And Nanoha has never let me down in terms of music.

I'm hoping the new OP & ED sequences will feature the new characters they've been introducing and focus on the new plot threads that are appearing.

I'm also hoping Ginga will play a bigger role in the series soon. XD  She's recently got some pretty good air time.

Woo! Ep. 10 got subbed...

I noticed that Asami Sanada is voicing another character besides Vita. OwO
Noube... XD Either that or someone's mimicking Vita's voice.... @.@

I didn't do it last week, but I don't have a lot to say about it anyway:

Ep. 14:
-No new OP or ED. ; ;
-Nanoha + Vivio = Win.

Now, I have stuff to report:

Ep. 15:
-<3 Ginga.  Lots of her this episode.
-Fate should have just let Nanoha do her thing.  Pshaw.
-New ED!!!!!!!!1shiftone.  Beautiful Amulet.  I think it's weaker than Hoshizora no Spica, but it's still catchy.  Maybe it'll grow on me more.  I like the ED sequence.

Agito.... XD; Kinda cool... (Her costume [or should I say armor? O.o?] reminds me of Etna from Disgaea...)

It's a reasonable assumption to say katchuu/armor considering how she makes a Belka circle.

On the other hand, hints suggest that modern Belka uses the term "barrier jacket" like the Mid-Childa system, so if Agito uses modern Belka, then we'd have to reconsider.

The Nanoha series has a tendency not to fully explain itself, so it's all speculation at this point.

I get a day off and do I use it to catch up to projects...no, I just watch anime all day. A day well spent.
I won't spend to post on th 8 eps I saw today, but just on the current one:

Garyuu is pimp
Ginga is meh...and her costume is meh-er
Agito vs Rein', yea!

oh yea, Chrono should have Vice's face.  It seems more fitting to the voice.

So I caught up to episode 9 and I'm tempted to call Tsubasa up so that I can drive over to his house for the other two.

Episode 4: I like Carim. :D Also, I call BS on their limiters.
Episode 5: ROFLMAO at the lack of Erio nudity. Also, Cyaro~~~♥
Episode 6: OMG REIN. OMG GINGA. OMG VITA. And LOL Japanese-style restaurant in Midchilda.
Episode 7: I love their dresses. Hayate and Nanoha, in particular. Oh, and Lutecia's cool.
Episode 8: YUUNO REPRESENT
Episode 9: <Teana> orz ::genuflects::

Lol. I have up to 12... XP

Perhaps I may just start getting raws as well... XD;

Ep. 12 is crazy... Once you think one thing is certain, something happens...
So far Ginga doesn't do much for me...
I'm liking some of the antagonists though.
Quattro is okay.. she may have some potential..
Sei is cool with her abilities... Pretty much no walls could hold her... XP
Though my favorite antagonists are still Agito and Lutecia...

As for the other gals my fave is Caro followed by Vita, Nanoha, Hayate, and Fate...

So many characters... @.@ Quite the change from the original Nanoha, ne?

I think I haven't mentioned, yet, that Caro is indeed my top for StrikerS.

Oh, and Episode 9 placed Nanoha in first overall ranking. Fate and Hayate are now tied for second.

Full rankings to come after a nap.

Ep. 16:

Basically a prelude and setting for some intense action.  It seems like all the players will be involved this time: Division 6 and it's affiliates vs. Lulu, Zest, Agito, and the numbers.

-No new OP yet. ; ;
-Lindy is still the same.  Seeing her in motion for the first time in 10 years, she doesn't look/act older at all.  And she's still just as hot. XD
-They started on, but need to elaborate further on Vice.
-The first unison in the series.  And under slightly different conditions than you'd expect.  I certainly was surprised.  I guess it adds a bit of more information on unison devices in general and their properties.
-Zest is pretty cool.
-Nanoha & Fate are hardcore.
-I'm liking some of the new numbers a lot more than the initial offering.  Overall, they're OK.
-I'm really hoping to see Carim and Schach in action next episode.

I can't wait for next week. XD

Ep. 17

Truly epic.  Some crazy happenings and revelations.  I'll just leave it at that for this episode.

And voice alarm clock (http://nanoha.com/goods/clock.html) get!
There's a choice for 1. Nanoha, 2. Fate, and 3. Hayate & Rein.  I'm sorry, but this thing is going to be on Nanoha at least 90% of the time.  Maybe I'll change for variety once in a blue moon.  Maybe.

Ep. 17:

The story gets more heavy.  After last episode's explosive events, we see the aftermath and repercussions.  I know a lot of people have said that StrikerS has been slow taking off, but now that we're really in the swing of things, I'm sure a lot of people would agree that it's pretty good stuff.

-Finally the new OP.  I figured it'd probably begin this episode considering how the series has shifted into a higher gear.  It's appropriate and, all considered, a good song, but I think like the new ED, it'll take a little longer than the first OP & ED to grow on me.
-The new OP hints that Signum will finally do something since episode 7.  I hope she does.  She really gets shafted this series thusfar.
-Lots of stuff on Subaru & Ginga.
-Nanoha & Vivio are so touching.
-Tension between the ground forces and Division 6 increase.  I really respect how Hayate carries herself.
-Do I sense background on Zest?  He's been a complete mystery up until now.
-Agito's growing on me.  She's still not that great, but she doesn't leave a bad taste anymore.

Now back to running the OP over and over. :3

ED2 single, BEAUTIFUL AMULET, released.

The song has grown on me a bit by this point and I'm really enjoying it.  And it comes with three coupled songs, which are all standard Tamura Yukari songs.  I'm not complaining.  I've been listening to a lot of her recently. :3

hahahahahaha! Yes! Now I just need a Caro PVC.

Who else is going to get this? XD

They also came out with one with her in her unison form (white dress, yellow hair).
But I like her regular form.

BTW, anyone who has not seen the series needs to go watch it now. kthxbye.
