Reminder  that this is only planned time. Since open-mic is very popular, we would have some delay in times. I will do the best to get close to those times, but keep it in mind.

Meeting place will be in the karaoke room, and i will ask for people to come up on stage when its our turn.

we can choose to do either the tv size or full when we get there. (i have the music for both verison) I have Sat as tv size version so we have at least once with short version that most of us know the dance better.

Honestly, I don't think people would dance/sing that only during open mike... It's kinda like a staple of anime cons this year. I betcha theres gonna be a mob of people at a random time just getting up and dancing it. And maybe a cosplay skit or two.

I'm almost considering learning it in the event of a flash mob. That way, I can blend right in.

I've learned the whole dance, I could definitely teach you guys.

Well, the Haruhi gathering is planning on doing a Hare Hare Yukai on Sunday. Our gathering is around 12:30, so it wouldn't exactly work for open mike, but I'd be up for doing it again!

If we're doing it for open mike, Saturday would work better for me, or else really early Sunday morning (like 2AM), which I have a feeling wouldn't work for anyone else ^_^;;

hmm, maybe. well then, when i plann to sing it, i will ask the audience for dance i guess. or dance lonely alone. lol
I maybe be there on saturday night, so when i see you or something, we can do it!

Could you possibly post the times on wednesday? A lot of people(including me) are leaving on thursday morning to get badges and do stuff on Day 0. ^_^

See now my friends all laughed when I said I was learning this dance but I told them " I bet you anything people will be dancing there or might even drag me into it" seeing as I am cosplaying Haruhi.  I'm still learning it, hope I can remember it all but I'd love to join in if I could.

No I'll join you when you sing on stage! XD We should get together earlier so I can teach you guys how to do the back up (Yuki/Mikuru parts) and also Haruhi part of the dance. XD

that is the plan. we can change the plan if we want to when we get closer to fanime.

yes as a plan friday 6pm, we can do a practice session or maybe even before that.
we can discuss the time everyone is available.

I'll try my best to be there at least one of the two times you've got listed.
It's such a fun dance, I've always wanted to do it with a group. :D

What I did during AnimeExpo 07 was me and two of my friends learned the TV size version and we carried around an ipod with speakers and we would stop randomly and do the Hare Hare Yukai then pick it back up and do it again in like 15 minutes! We did it this way for 4 days @_@ so yeah I plan to do it that way again this year at Fanime so I'll just stop whatever I'm doing and do it when I feel like it so watch for me!

I would totally join in the fun! =D I'm planning on making a Yuki cosplay. I know the Yuki part of the dance too (the full and tv version)

I'm thinking of taking some counts of people who are doing each parts. since there are more than 5 of us, we should separate our parts with haruhi, yuki, mikuru, kyon, and koizumi.

I wouldn't be able to come before fanime. I can't drive so I wouldn't be able to attend. (Someone drives me and my friends to fanime so... yeah.)

I was thinking practice maybe an hour or two before going on? I don't think we need that much practice right? =) The only quirks we'd work out is synchronization so we all are doing the same thing at the same time.

I think it would be ideal to decide when practice will be once we get more people to join our group. Don't you want at least a full brigade first? =)

my friends are coming as mikuru (username:Mojo) and yuki and they really want to dance along,

I can help synchronize the dance, since I know everyone's parts. I used the seiyuu concert performance to learn the dance, so that is the style I'd teach it (a lot of the fan videos are more stiff than their's).

I'll probably cosplay as Ouendan Haruhi (http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/8999/suzumiya20haruhi2020op2af0.jpg) this year. I was Tsuruya last year, though.

And I vote for a Friday timeslot. ;)

yea, no love for koizumi-kun. But it would be great if you can do his part. It's a fan dancing so any cosplay works.
