ehhh...well, I'll have Suzu from Peacemaker Kurogane at Yaoi-con. Not quite sure what exactly I'll be wearing at Fanime08, though, since my brother and I haven't talked about what our matching cosplay will be.
Since I didn't have the time and money (well mostly the money) to do it this year, I'd love to do Haruhi from Ouran next year. However, if I'm able to get a sewing machine, I might try for something more ambitious; no idea what that would be as of yet. Maybe one of the newer anime showing this year at Fanime will tickle my fancy. :wink:

Dude, thebrain2u, the Battle Royale thing sounds like such a cool idea! I don't know how you'd coordinate the battle system - you'd probably have to talk to security or admin for it - but I'm sure if you go to them in advance, they'll be sure to make it an event and everything!

In order from easiest to hardest:
Kagura (Gintama)(http://kagura.gif), seeing as I already have the clothes. However, I'm a bit too tall for her character.
Jin (Samurai Champloo). I'd just be wearing my kendo uniform, meh. This is an "If all else fails" costume.
Yoruichi (Bleach). Unfortunately, I predict that there will be a MILLION Yoruichis, since Bleach is now uber-popular...but she's the closest resemblance to me.
Ryoko Mitsurugi (Real Bout High School, Manga version). (http://xmas_manga_rbhs.jpg) (school outfit), (http://9781591829133-s.jpg) (battle outfit) I actually love this character, but I would have to make the school uniform. Her "Final Battle" costume might be easier to put together, since I could hit the thrift stores for the miniskirt, top, and socks. The Shinsengumi overcoat, on the other hand...anyone know where to get one in SF, Berkley, or Oakland without having to go online? I would prefer a pre-made one so that I could alter it to her version myself. The headband I might have to make myself as well...

Well, I WAS going to be Demyx (KHII) and Kaoru (Ouran High School Host Club), but then a few months ago, I got sucked into the world of Naruto and have since become unhealthily obsessed (yaaaay!), so now my group and I are doing all Naruto stuff. Hopefully, I'll be able to get all of these together in time (and be able to fit them all into three or four days ^^)

I'm currently weighing two potential choices. For the first option, I'm thinking of Okita Sogo from Gintama. However, as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull comes out the day before Fanime starts, I'm sorely tempted to take a break from anime cosplay and simply cosplay as Indy instead (Lord knows we get enough of the 501st every year).

A couple of my friends have been getting me back into One Piece and they're talking about doing a CP9 group, but I don't know if they mean for Fanime 08, or another con, or another year.....she would be easy enough, I probably have half the things I need already, but....yeah. I dunno. To be honest, I'd like to be Luffy sometime. General plans, not Fanime specific. A lot will depend on what I have finished by Sakuracon.
Ise Nanao (Bleach): have shihakushou version, working on an original handpainted kimono design and a new (bigger, better) Book.
Okita Souji (Peacemaker): an excellent lazy costume, even if it hardly gets recognised. May wear just because it's done. It's the yukata version, but I want to get a Shinsengumi haori put together too, just for kicks.
Unohana Retsu (Bleach): backup for Bleach, but I loathe the extensions and I destroyed my Minazuki at AX (and probably won't have time to remake him), so she'll only get worn if my sister asks (since she'll be a Fourth Squad mook).
Road Kamelot (D.Gray-man): almost entirely done, aside from the fact that I keep putting off the skirt ever since a slip of the scissors destroyed the first draft. Lero needs transplanting now that I have a parasol for him. (I'm hoping for a shiny new outfit, too.)
Nue (Air Gear): first regalia version, because I am not (quite) that insane. Hardly started, but I think I have a pretty good idea of how to do it going forward.
Ryuushi Risai (Juuni Kokki / Twelve Kingdoms): work in progress. The main time-consuming factors with this one are the boots and the fact that there are lots of layers to the costume. Still, should be comfortable and shiny, but it's the lowest on priorities for unfinished costumes.
I'm also exceedingly suggestible when faced with something shiny. ;_; There's a list of other things either in progress or that I want to do, but I've resigned myself to the fact they're probably not happening this year, with three very involved costumes (and maybe a fourth) to work on.

I'll prolly go with the Yoruichi (battle mode) cosplay, because it's pretty easy to throw together. However, the problem with cosplaying a Bleach character is that
everyone on the floor will be either doing Bleach/KH/Naruto cosplay.
I was also thinking of Revvy from Black Lagoon (that's just stuff out of my closet right there) but the guns would be hard to come by. There's also Kagura from Gintama--all I need is the umbrella.
I might consider doing a character from an old-school anime--don't get a lot of that at cons these days.
Or if I can get my hands on a baseball uniform, I can go as Maria Momoe from Okiku Furikabutte. XD

Bah. It's been a while since my last post, so things have changed. I think I'll probably end up posting every so often until Fanime actually happens, since I change my mind a lot. But anyway, here's the update;
~Sasuke Uchiha - Original Version: 100%, although I may end up getting/making a new shirt, and I am considering these neat leg things I saw on Ebay that even have the blue at the tops and bottoms, as opposed to just wearing gauze XP
~Sasuke Uchiha - Curse Seal 2: 50%, I have my Sasuke costume, but I need a different wig for this, plus the make up and, good lord, the wings XP Don't know if I'll be able to pull it off by May, but I REALLY hope so!
~Sai: 0%, Yay for totally not-even-started costumes! I don't know if I'll have it by Fanime, but if I do, I'll definately be wearing it.
~Haku: 80%, I just need a new wig and my mask. Yaaay! Actually, that's a lie; I might re-do the pants and belt, and I REALLY need a new sweater for underneath, but if I have to use the stuff I've got now, it'll be okay.
~Demyx - 90%, just need my sitar (which is technically not even crucial)
~Kairi - pink: 0%, This one I'm probably actually gonna make. Yay! And my keyblade, too![/li][/list]
I'm also going to start work on my Sakon, especially since I know a few Kibas and my friend just finished his Kankurou, Karasu and all, and so it'd be cool if I could get my Sakon together. On the offchance I DO finish it by May, I can guarantee I won't have Ukon this year because it'll be enough trying to make my wings, sitar, and keyblade, I don't want to try to harness anotherh ead to the back of my neck, too T.T So maybe '09...
Finally figured out who I wanted to go as. Yoruichi is out, simply because I got my hair cut and now it's far too short to cosplay as her.
I'll be going as Kagura from Gintama. If the weather is warm enough, I might attempt Nico Robin from One Piece, since my friend is going to do a Chopper cosplay.
If I get my hands on a decent purple wig (or use extensions) I can go as Shampoo from Ranma 1/2. Then I'd match my other friend, who's going to be Girl Ranma.
Actually, Lina Inverse is a possibility as well--that's just stuff out of my closet and a dye job. X3

Well this will officially be my fourth fanime (YAY!) and I'll be bringing along older costumes along with my brand new one for this year: Mukuro Rokudo from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (the series officially owns my soul, which is sad).
Along with Mukuro, I'll be reusing my Ishida costume from Bleach (which I love to pieces. He is my favorite anime character hands down and I LOVE cosplaying as him), my Aerith costume (Final Fantasy VII) and I'll be dragging along my full Slytherin uniform just because. Four costumes, four days, fourth time at the con. Let's see how luck it makes me :)
This year is going to be my 4th Fanime, and I am very excited for Fanime 2008! It is my reward/vacation after a year of school! I cant wait cause I'll be graduating college on the May 23, Friday! I still have a lot to do with my cosplay plans, but I am hoping to finish all of it before then. Wish me luck! =D

I'm currently working on my Raul cosplay from Magna Carta:Crimson Stigmata and it's coming along great. I get to play with Wonderflex for the first time and it's been rather fun.
Now, since there's still some time till Fanime, I'm being a bit ambitious and wanting to do another cosplay. However, seeing that I've already planned out my expenses, I don't want to spend a whole lot more money. So, I want to reuse the wig I am using for my Raul cosplay for another one. So, since I am like, brain dead at the moment, I was hoping ya'll could give me some suggestions. Here are some pics of me ( I look like crap, so please excuse me for looking completely out of it ) with the wig unstyled, but if you could come up with some characters, I'm cool with that. And please, nothing Naruto related. I don't mean to offend anyone, but it's just not my cup of tea. Thanks!

XD Thank you! You and your friends were seriously the only people that were willing to help me get into those horrid, constricting wings. Unfortunately, the cosplay is currently retired. My wig had to be recycled for this year's cosplay, so it's no longer green, and the wings are dead. I need to figure out a new structure for them, cause what I did last year was pretty fail-tastic. But, thanks again XpHoBiaX, you guys were totally awesome for the help last year. Maybe I'll see you again this time!

I have already worn my day vampire knight outfit, and my meek from digi charat panyo panyo. I will be wearing belial aka madhatter with her monarch butterfly wings on Sunday early before the Vampire Knight photo shoot. I sadly really need to work on posing and missed the posing panel ;_;. I have also work cooking mama, but forgot my props back home in utah ;_;
