It took me ten minutes to change in Fanime'06 from the CLAMP gathering to the FMA gathering. I was late unfortunately because I changed at the Marriott. If your staying at a hotel and staying the Marriott, allow yourself extra time to walk to and from the gathering meeting place.

I thought there were two gatherings because we were disagreeing with each other on when the gathering should happen (half wanted saturday, half wanted sunday).
It was kinda both, Last year i saw that there were so many people, So i picked the Only available slot, (i just spread it around in the Sat form to get people to do to Sunday too)
The Sunday morning gathering was really small. Hope 2008 we have a bigger turn-out :3

If it's going to be on a Saturday, then you wouldn't have to worry about Masq. Plus I do recommend Saturday since I will be tied up on Sunday (One Piece gathering, M.U.G.E.N. gathering, and Masq as the same character)

Agreed, already had commited to go to the One Piece gathering on Sunday (along with the M.U.G.E.N. gathering maybe on the same day, all linking with Masqerade since all three tie in with the cosplay I have for sunday)

I suggest Saturday at 10am. Bleach is going with Sunday at noon and Naruto is likely getting Saturday at noon. And CLAMP made it official for Sunday at 10am ^__^ which I'm attending.

1:30 could be too late and could be around the time of other gatherings. Besides, the Naruto group I don't think has anything completely set yet, while we are close. So if can fully agree with Saturday at noon (or a time close to it like 11-11:30 AM) and make it in time over the Naruto group, everything can be cleared up.
FMA has always needed at least an hour (that includeds changing ^_-) They need to start adding the gathering lists already.

I wanted to talk about a couple of things:
1. I won't list gatherings till after the first of the year so those of you who are keeping track of the big gatherings and using that to work around the FMA gathering BRAVO!
2. I will bring Izumi Curtis out of retirement if this gathering gets big enough or Fanime gets a FMA voice actor.
3. I got ahead of myself on two.... I will be debute' & retiring Izumi Curtis @ Sac Anime Con January 11-13, 2008. This is because Vic (ED) Travis (ROY) & Laura (LUST) will be there. I am working on the gathering for SAC in January & would like to invite ALL THE FMA Peeps out there to come to SAC and make it the biggest FMA gathering EVER!!! I will be retiring Izumi because I am having it autographed by the VA's. I have made this coplay literally from head (wig) to toe (shoes).
So with all that said... I will come to the FMA Fanime gathering, either as a photog or as IZUMI, maybe even both ^^)

Am I right to assume this is for Sac Anime in January? ININ, are you going for all 3 days?

Actually, I can give you all some info regarding the Oroborus symbols. There is a person in the Artists Hall that usually sells those car decals that you put on the window. Well, the guy will do some airbrushing of symbols on the place you need them (I got it done on the back of my hand for my Greed cosplay back in 2006.) The only thing is that I'm not sure if he'll be back for this year, but if he is going to be there, I'm sure he would be able to do so for pretty cheap. I also don't remember if he'll have the symbol cutout with him so having a photo of the Oroborous symbol might help out.

The location is just inside the main entrance. We meet between the main entrance doors and registration on the first floor of the convention center. There are two sets of stairs. We gather at one side of the stairs. If we get big, then we gather between the two sets of stairs. Hope it helps ^__^

I believe BINGO is scheduled for Saturday evening around 8 pm or so. We will also be having another new event on Sunday evening though I'm not telling what it is ;). Oh, and don't worry about 'working' the Yaoi Con events. Only official Yaoi Con Bishies will be working these events so be sure to look out for us (either with or without clothes) at Yaoi Con also :D

In 2005, I knew one staff member who was not an official Bishie (or so he told me). He was working the table out front. Someone won a BINGO and choose him to come up front and, uh, well, I rather not mention what he did *hee, hee* He did show me pictures.

*UPDATE* Off-topic, but I feel I need to correct this information: I have been recently informed by Yaoi Con staffers that the Friday Bingo Night listed in the program is an ERROR. There will NOT be Bingo on Friday evening due to the late hours of the Dealer's Room.

I want to recognize BSaphire for rushing over from her hotel in her Izumi cosplay, bahamutknightzero for the group shot dead characters idea, the cosplayers who provided the terrific "Mustang for Fuhrer" banner, and the FMA cosplayers who attended past FMA gatherings (you know who you are) and came back. All the action shots and gag shots came naturally and we just did it.
I hope the first time FMA cosplayers had fun and I welcome them to come back next year. Kudos to the LanFan and Major General Armstrong manga cosplayers.
I know a friend who is bringing a group of FMA cosplayers for next year's gathering. Let try to get a bigger turnout next year. Yay!

This year's gathering was way, way better than last year. Not as crazy as 2 years ago though. FMA is definitely not dead; the anime series may be over but the manga is still running strong (over 30 million sold).
The 'Mustang for Fuhrer' banner was a thing of beauty; considering that I cosplay Roy Mustang.
I will definitely be back next year.
'08 was a great refresher compared to '06. And thanks for taking my camera and taking pics when I'm on the stage. I hope I took good shots with your camera.
