Title: Musicfest artists
Post by: deonchan on June 12, 2007, 04:51:13 PM
First off, I loved all the bands that came to Musicfest this year! (That and I had one of the best seats in the house  8) ). I was wondering if it would be possible to mix it up a little bit.

IE- would a group like Three Nation (http://www.three-nation.com/) be obtainable? Or is that out of scope budget etc? What other groups would people be intrested in seeing?

Hey, glad you liked it! And thanks for your help--Rovers 100% kicked ass this year, and I can't thank you guys enough. (Stick around for next year, we need you!)

As for Three Nation, it's not impossible, but it's up to their management & schedule, and our budget. I'll put out a feeler.

In general though, I'm definitely cutting back on rock next year and introducing a genre or two. Expect some JPop, hopefully a little bit of R&B...

If you do cut back on the j-rock, be sure to bring in some great, very unique j-rock, like Amano Tsukiko. at least change up the j-rock you have, right? :P

(Also, try checking out JiLL-Decoy association for something a little jazzier. as far as I know (as long as I have been keeping track of it, at least), you guys have not brought in such a genre. And if you have, I have unfortunatley missed it.)

(That is, if it is possible to get any of these artists out. @_@ I still think Amano is within reach, though, but you guys would know a lot better than I would as a bystander.)

HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR LOLKTHX. : DDD oh, and nil and Plastic Tree and MUCC. :3

In all honesty, Chihara Minori needs to get her singing known. Yeah, she's an awesome seiyuu, but her singing is even better. I'd love Fanime forever if you brought her.

How about Base Ball Bear?

When I went to Japan this summer, I came across a group that seems to be just getting started, and they have a really awsome sound to their music. It'd be great if we could have them at fanime, I'm sure they'd love the publicity. This band btw is Jack Rose: http://www.jackrose.net/top.html

If needed, I can post their sampler cd for ya'll to check out. Their stuff is really hard to find.

Also, I'd be very excited if you could get this other "new" band to come, Acid Black Cherry. But they, I'd expect, would be too hard to get, because ABC is the solo project of Yasu from Janne De Arc. However, his music is absolutely amazing, and I think many people would enjoy having him at Fanime. here's his website: http://acidblackcherry.net/index.html

I'd also love to see Nightmare, but, that's probably impossible, lol...

ELLEGARDEN and UVERworld! =.DDDD
Or Suzuki Tatsuhisa~~~ He's a seiyuu but also has a music career. He sang the OP for Sukisho! (Just a Survivor), the ED for Tide-Line BLUE (VOICE), etc. Really great voice he has. Check out some of his performances: crawl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxBOBknElws), towayuki (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLZ7hFLtaoE), Black or White? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aovBauRwIds) (Saint Beast). FYI, he's the guy in my avatar. X.3 Such a cutie~

Someone from the home state would be nice as maybe an opener, like Ramen and Rice, who remembers the medley the two of them did 2 or 3 years back? Im ready for a recap.
