I keep checking back here for Fanime 2008, but the countdown keeps resetting itself. Like, I actually stayed up until midnight of the 9th or whatever, so I could see it, but nothing happened, and the countdown was at 999 again. And then a couple days ago, it was counting down from 2 days, but now it's back at 999. It's rather annoying, since I start to anticipate new things, only to be disappointed again. Is there going to be a new site soon, or what?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing myself. I don't mind waiting around for a new site, but you're kinda just broadcasting inefficiency by continually resetting it and getting people's hopes up, only to not follow through. I'd almost rather the little countdown weren't there, rather than have it be useless.
Hehe, so I'm not the only one watching that counter carefully! I stayed up a few nights ago to wait for the launch, as well.
I was disappointed, but I don't mind waiting all so much. I can't wait to see the layout and what the '08 website has in store, and I figured the webmaster(s) ran into some difficulties.
So it wasn't just me. I wish there was a set countdown as well T_T;;;

Possibilities are that either there's a new logo for Fanime, new mascots and theme, different dates, different venues....or none of the above. ^_^ Wouldn't know until that update is finished.

I'm am in the hospital right now, admitted with being in the ER all day, with my laptop, with a line snagged from the phone on a dial up connection WORKING ON THE WEBSITE.
The website will be online at midnight tonight!

30 minutes remaining and I'm on schedule. And what else am I going to do in a hospital? Rest? I did that in the ER. :P
I loves the hospital, they made me sit around and do test for 12 hours before they finally said what I had been saying all day in pain... "My apendix is going to blow" but in the end it worked out and they're nice people. The best to Karen and good luck on the page, I know it'll look great.
