Title: Saturday Night Speed-Runs
Post by: Smikey on July 20, 2007, 04:05:13 AM
Now, as most of you know, this exists. I do not know the guy... but he was there the last 2 years. The first time he was showing it outside of the hilton on the convention floor.

This past year, he had it in the same spot but got stopped. I do not know what happened, but, it turned out they allowed him to do it in the Gaming Room on the Projection Screen. Now, if they would do this next year and make it a sort of regular thing to Fanime it would be awesome.

Move this where it needs to be. Thank you.

Hey its me, I hope you guys saw me on Stage Zero this year! Ive been doing this for a few years and hope it continues to grow. Im sorry I couldnt do it on sunday night, with only one person, and a 10 hours schedule everyday where im in charge of 20 thousand dollar equipment without being able to leave or sleep is pretty hard, so hopefully i can get some staff next time! If you liked it please email fanime or even go to ending ceremonies and tell them you want more speedruns!!

Hay! I didn't see them! I did, however, see them 2 years ago. Very fun group of people, the fox guy who was doing it was very nice!

I am taking up higher management for eGaming, I'd love to incorporate what you do into our department.  We were very short on staff this year, half of ours didn't even show up.  Next year I'm trying to get a full GOOD staff, and we can probably help you out.  I have some good superplays myself, stuff that is not accessible online, that I would very much love to share myself.  I actually was planning on doing so wherever possible, but never got the chance.  I tried sending someone over to ask about it, but I was too busy to actually come to ask myself.  We'll work something out for you so that you're not stuck alone.  I want to incorporate a lot more fan-based attractions for eGaming this upcoming year.

We just might keep him at Stage Zero.  They were quite the entertainment for the late night crowd.

I too have tons of speedruns/superplays...

Even if I decide to not become a volunteer, I could gladly give you guys some more material.

Wendell, my idea was that we could run things 24/7, but I do know why Stage Zero was so good.  Just in eGaming our staff can help him out.  I want to get a stage set up in eGaming next year either way.

And I can definately run my speedruns in that stage. It would be more fitting than stage zero, but you will always get extra crowrd on S0 really regardless of what programming your showing :3

my two cents is that since the speedruns are related to gaming, they should be shown in e-gaming instead of Stage Zero.

That was cool watching speedruns around midnight.  Pretty much one of the reasons why I would stay up all night during fanime.
