There is a possibility that we can set up 2 rooms to DJ music throughout the nights. If you are interested in this please voice your opinions as well as music that you would want. I may DJ the second room or help in the Trance and Techno room. So please let me know. We will need to have help with setting up and using the audio and speakers from Fanime for this second room but I will supply the music so please let me and the other possible DJ's what you want so that no-one is left out and standing in line in the hall missing out on the fun.
i'd love to hear some hip hop for all the good 'lil b-boys and 'lil b-girls to break it down to. i remember seeing a couple breakers last year fixing cyphers up for themselves, but i think it'd be cool if breakers got a little jam session in one of the rooms
The rave this year played some really lame music. The best place to get royalty free, legal music that is actually good is on the Newgrounds audio portal. I recommend the artists, Bounc3, DJ-Nate, Cornandbeans, Andrew-Parker, Flashburn, tF-ownedyou, MilkMan-Dan, API, Bosa, and there's tons more.
Music by Global DJs.
Eurobeat plzkthx. Then I might even come to it.

You got to understand that most people want listens to mainstream music and it may vary. Sounds like a good choice of artist from newgrounds audio portal but my main concern is will most people like it or recognize it? I'm not here to debate here or anything. Just letting u know.
I think it sounds cool to have to different room for different genres if possible and looking forward to it.
I would like to hear some old school 80's or early 90's, and some freestyle from 80's.
Great, im glad those that are posting are giving some really good ideas. Remember if you want this new room to be the best to date, it is up to you and no one else. So lets get some more responses.

If new room = no lines to the dance. then here is my response. :)
There's already a room for Rave, so honestly I don't think there should be 2 rave rooms. Variety would be really good. I'd vote for 80's and 90's personally there's some really good music in there that is fun to listen and dance to.
wait...i dont want two rave rooms :-\
Sorry I read the top wrong. My fault completely. But isn't one of the voting options for "Techno/Rave"? I'm confused. ???
Sorry for the confusion.
I still vote for 80's and 90's.
when you say 80's is that like flock of seagulls and similiar music? I like anything you can dance too...
And um, i think we are voting for what kind of music we'd prefer to have at the dance, right? im confused too ???
The main dance is no doubt going to be nothing but animu music and electronica.
We NEED an 80's/90's room. We need it more than little Johnny Q needed a heart.
u know 80s/90s sounds not a bad idea!! I'm looking forward to some Planet Rock and Rapper Delight music for me to breakdance to.

A lot of people don't care whether they recognize a song or not, just as long as it's GOOD. Then they can say, "What was that really great song that just played?" instead of, "I'm tired of hearing the same crappy music!"
anykind of music will do
can i help out wiht u guys
with the two rooms?
o_o
I 'd love to see a 80's and 90's Post Punk / New Wave / Goth room. eg. Depeche Mode, Nosferatu, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Mephisto Walz, Corpus Delicti, Alien Sex Fiend, etc.
I'd also like to hear more Happy Hardcore / Trance / Darkcore played in the Rave.
any new news so far?
o_o cypher.s.yes
How about B-boy battles?
emcee battels..toohaha
the 80's/90's music would be amazing to play! also how about some club music x: something to actually dance to rather than just anime, game and electornica music
:3 personally I would like dance to pop/rock or punk
lol 70s, 80s and early 90s!!!! give me a breakbeat!
Wow I didn't know there was some support for 80's/90's. That's usually what I play anywayz (hip-hop & freestyle). If I get to DJ Fanime again that's definitely what I'd be playing.
2 rooms is an EXCELLENT idea. This way you can break up the music formats.
80's and 90's is pretty cool, but how 'bout some Disco in there too? Maybe make it an all together retro room. That'd be awesome.
Industrial-Trance-House
You get your hard style on, your rave & step style on and Hip-Hop flows magically with House...so....*thinks*...you get you B-Boy on. With those focus, 80's and Pop with Japanese Hip-Hop and Trance are realistic to do in a "non-stop" fashion... that way you pass right out after every dance an put yourselves right to sleep in your rooms.. instead of tripping over you hanging out in the hallways... *stares at Patric and Dominic* >:(
You didn't trip over me in the hallway sucka! If anything I was the furthest one away from you so in itself you probably tripped over pat! XP
I still don't know when you tripped over pat or anything like that. You sure you didn't dream it? XD
Hmmm... I think I might know the DJ who is gonna spin for the rave this year... I'll show him your suggestions and make sure if it is the person I am thinking of.
I shall be Djing Also :D>Z<

if you are, can I send you The Garnet Star CD on aim? It's a really good Touhou Remix CD and it will kick ass at the dance.
OK.... So my request is Techno/Trance/Rave. Make it fast. Make it hard. Especially if its Psy or Jungle!
My personal taste in music is rock(all kinds)but you can't really dance to a lot of it, and I doubt that Fanime would let us start a mosh pit so meh...I don't really dance but I'd be down for whatever. though I'd like some ska (Reel Big Fish FTW!).
Type of music I'd enjoy:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz__9QTlgUc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EMDZLOQOG4
Anything by DJ Hixxy would be great XD Happy Hardcore all the way, in my opinion.
Needs a lot more of this.
Gabber, Rotterdam, Freeform, Trancecore, Hardstyle, Nu style Gabber, Acid anything, Goa trance.
Uhm...I'd love to hear all of the DDR-esque rave music and whatnot that most fanime-attendees like...
But I also think that we should include some NERD ("She Wants to Move" and "Brain" are pretty good) or rap with a beat that's danceable.~~~~
Just a suggestion
I agree with her. No J-hip-hop, though, please. J-hip-hop to me = EPIC FUCKING FAILURE.
^_^ I happen to be an 8-bit music artist and would like to play at the rave I compose my own music and have quite a bit of audio equipment my self I've sent many messages to staff ect but no answer so If someone could give me a number I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

Also If there is to be a DJ please play: Hard Style, REAL Trance, and Euro Hits. >.> but yes this room needs more hardstyle

i'd like to her hip/hop
Me and my friend would have personally enjoyed more RnB and Hip Hop, or maybe more popular radio songs ._.; just cause it's fun to sing along to while dancing and inching away from the creepy 35yr stalker~ 8D
Last year was my first time going to a Rave, I had to sneak outta the house to go, and I was kind of disappointed~
After half an hour of non-stop trance/rave thumping, I started to have a headache~~ I've heard alot better techno music and the dance sounded more like a fashion show than a dance @__@;
8D Goodluck guys~! BTW, I would love to have two separate rooms 8D One for techno/trance and one for hip-hop/RnB 8D

I SECOND THIS (and the headaches!!!). RAP/R&B AND HIP-HOP PLEASE. As much as I absolutely love rock (techno, ehhhh... it's
okay...) hip-hop is major fun to dance to (I think the deep Bay Area people know what I mean... Hahaha). ;D
