Hey everyone! I'm sure you're all thrilled about fanime and it's gatherings. Therefore, I decided to create my own.
The frist Kateikyoshi Hitman Reborn gathering! Those who are not familiar with it, look it up, because it's a great shounen anime that's starting to become a big hit. Now, anyone planning to come to the gathering dressed as a Reborn character? I'm not too sure on the date, but I'll see to it soon.

Hey everyone, you might remember me as the Hibari from fanime! First of all, I would like to say thank you for coming to our first fanime KHR gathering. It was a surprisingly huge success. Forgive me for being disorganized, it was my first time running a gathering and I didn't know what to do >_<;;. I wasn't expecting so many KHR characters to show up either. Therefore, I hope it will be twice as big next year!
If you have pictures or videos, feel free to share them with us! You can find my pictures at the KHR LJ community. I'll post them altogether shortly, so be patient!!

how long: gatherings usually last around 15-30 min depending how many joins and how long people take pictures.
what we do: we usually gather and take pictures of ourselves, the fans take picture, we take poses, maybe act out some scenes, or just talk about the anime you're gathering as.

Hmm... One of the members in my school's anime club said she could get discounts for Famine maybe, so I might go.
I've been thinking of cosplaying Reborn!, so there might be a chance that my cousin will be Reborn and I'm going to be Colonello? Still unconfirmed, but it's a maybe. =D

I might possibly do Bianchi if other costumes don't conflict (i already have 4 planned ;.;). The fact that a Lambo will be there is very inspirational. Not sure which version I would do, I've only read up to about chpt. 42 i think. Possibly the version with the aviator goggles...

Do you have a picture of yourself? And hey, a lot of people don't look like the characters they cosplay in the beginning. You just need a wig and good cosplay outfit.

Well I'm not that far in the series or anything (Basically just been reading the english manga which there isn't much of yet...) but I'm planning on watching a ton of it within the next few weeks since finals are over tomorrow. But ya, I don't quite know who Chikusa is, I searched on google though, is he the guy with the beanie?

^^ There's really no need to cancel a gathering as long as you have more than three people. And believe me, gatherings are usually larger than the amount of people that sign up online (I was involved in a gathering last year that had three people signed up online, and ended up with about 12 people). Plus, as long as there are fans, you'll get a bunch of people coming wanting to take pictures. Fanime is really good about getting the times of gatherings publicized to everyone who would want to know.
and so as to make my post not completely useless, I have a friend who is definitely going to Fanime who will probably be doing Tsuna. I may try my hand at someone (depending on how much time I end up with), and even if I don't come in costume, you've got at least one certain photographer! ^^
I know I'll be bringing my KHR cosplays to Fanime, but I probably won't be wearing them Sunday. A couple of my friends are probably doing KHR too but I'm not sure when. Haha, hope to see you Reborn cosplayers around the con though. ;o

Well, Sunday isn't a confirmed date yet. Who are you going to cosplay as?
I really want to cosplay Chikusa and bring my diabolo. I was thinking about doing that, but I'm not sure if I should.

UPDATE:
Just went to check out the gathering list and I noticed that quite a lot of gatherings are taking place on the same day and time as our Reborn gathering, Naruto being the biggest. I'll change the date to Saturday 12:00 PM, same place. If that works for you, just let me know.

as for me, my gokudera costume needs a little work. But today I got bored with my old black wig and chopped at it. The stupid synthetic hair makes it uber shiny when the flash is on my camera. well any idea's on which reborn character I can turn this into?

Also, this may be irrelevant, but Touya no Miko, may I ask which Hibari outfit you will be attending in? No offense or anything, I'm not concerned that I'm going as the same character as you. I was still deciding between his school or..."future" self (I hope that didn't spoil things for other members), but I thought it would be cooler if we had more variety. XD

Eheh... I would like it to be Sunday, but unfortunately there are already TONS of gatherings on the same date. I also have a Gothic Lolita picnic to attend to on Sunday at 11. 11 am is pretty early on Saturday, but I could move it to 11:30 am if everyone is okay with it. If you really can't stay for long, it's okay if you want to leave a little early. It's only about 30 minutes long. What gathering are you attending later?
If you guys do move it to an earlier time, I might be able to make it to the gathering.
Whatever time on Saturday is fine by me, just keep me informed :)

You could always cheat and be the nakkie dying will Tsuna. XD
For gloves, I suggest finding a cheap pair of leather gloves and add the details with craft foam like HavicMichaelchris said. Check out the forums on cosplay.com. They're a big help.
Just curious... If the JUMP gathering is on Sunday, wouldn't it make more sense for the KHR gathering to be Sunday too so that people can hop over to JUMP afterwards? =O

Problem is, I won't be able to organize the gathering, since I'll be working at the maid cafe and I got a lolita picnic to go to on Sunday. And there's also Antic Cafe, I can't miss out on them. There's already too many gatherings taking place. ^^;;;

I'm just curious... If the JUMP gathering is on Sunday, wouldn't it make more sense for the KHR gathering to be Sunday too so that people can hop over to JUMP afterwards? =O
Problem is, I won't be able to organize the gathering, since I'll be working at the maid cafe and I got a lolita picnic to go to on Sunday. And there's also Antic Cafe, I can't miss out on them. There's already too many gatherings taking place. ^^;;;

I cut my hair and dyed it, not like it'll affect my costumes, but from what my friend said, "with a little blue dye I could form my hair into her favorite character..." all you need is your imagination. pictures when I find my camera.

I am now confirmed that I'm doing TYL!Irie Shouichi for Fanime, as all the others (except for Hei, who may never ever get done) are finished, and I'll have a bunch of time in the next couple of weeks to do the shoulder armor things and style the wig(waiting until I get home to do the actual buying fabric and sewing part), and my sister might be a Cerevello, if I can find enough time to make the outfit for her (it shouldn't be too hard, as it's basically the same pattern; I'll just have to make it taller to fit her)

Yeah. The shoulder pads are going to be half-face masks, cut so that they form the curved shape, and then I'll use craft foam for the designs, spray paint them silver, and attach a pin on the inside so that I can take them on and off for packing purposes. It actually shouldn't be too hard, and I should have plenty of time to experiment and get them right over the next couple of weeks ^^. I'm really excited about it, actually <3

Well, since we're all talking cosplay progress: for Mukuro I have my wig, but it isn't styled yet, and all the materials for making the Trident, which my dad is gonna...help? More like do the bulk of it, probably, lol. The uniform is...half done. My mom still has some time and it is a relatively simple costume so hopefully everything will go well and it will be done soon :)
Did we finally decide on a time or is that still up in the air? I'm good for just about anything so...yeah.

but Gokudera is part of a ton of pairings, but the most well known one we do not have the second half of: Yamamoto.
Since it's earlier now, I'll be able to make it. To what I choose to wear will hopefully be decided soon. It'll either be Dino or Adult Reborn. I'll be wearing Adult Mukuro at Fanime but not at the gathering time most likely.

Tsuna, gokudera, and Yamamoto learns how to use the ring, and meanwhile, kyoko worries about Ryohei, so she goes outside. So Tsuna and others go out to find Kyoko and Hibari, because the hibari-bird gave the SOS sign.
