The lyrics were constantly playing over in my head after the release of the first episode. I kept humming the tune, too. And even though, once I had stopped... it was still in the back of my head. Now it's stuck in my head,
again.

For me it is probably: Wind (an ED from Naruto), Kazi Ne Naru (ED from The Cat Returns), Kokoro no Chizu (an OP for One Piece), Tenten's Theme (Naruto..it reminds me of Zelda), The ED for Fruits Basket, Alones and My Pace (both OPs for Bleach), Byaokkoya-no-musume (Paprika), Mahoro de mambo (Mahoromatic)...there's a lot more, but these are my favorites..that I am listening to constantly.
"Do It Minnie May" from Gunsmith Cats never ceases to get stuck in my head at the most inconvenient times. It's one of the catchiest songs I know, and I'm not even that fond of it. ><''

Also to add, I think the opening sound to Azumanga Dioh is pretty catchy. And currently as the song i totally don't mind listening to every single time( aka, doesn't bother skiping it to the next episode) is the ending theme song to Hell Girl. ^_^

"Shooting Star" by Kotoko for Onegai Teacher. Seriously, it's hands down the catchiest song. Anything by Kotoko is really catchy. The themes for Kannazuki ( Kannaduki ) ( I always find different spellings for it ) no Miko, Starship Operators, they're all by Kotoko and equally catchy.

I like I've and all, but their openings aren't so much catchy as they are, pretty good songs. Most of the songs I've has done for galge are much more catchy. Princess Brave, Snow Angel, Princess Bride, Cave, Sakuranbo Kiss for example.
Oh yeah, Kita He opening was pretty catchy.

Look, it was a long time ago; I liked the animation and most of the songs from Macross. You obviously take umbrage at my description of the song. I'm sorry, but I was a casual watcher of the series. I had a friend that could go on for hours about the technical specs on the mecha in the show and hated the fact that I always brought up that those specs are meaningless because those craft, that technology, those characters, were all fiction. I thought he was a bit obsessive.
I'll defer to whatever you say. The bottom line for me is I happen to like that song along with a few others from Macross; Whatever Macross it happened to have come from.
