Mine would have been either Kiki's Delivery Service or Sailor Moon when it first ran on Cartoon Network.
Ranma 1/2 at my cousin's birthday.
Ranma 1/2 in Spanish
I was 5! yay!
You know I've never seen all of that. I know I fail.
probably like doraemon, paa-man, ninja hattori-kun, obake no Q-taro or some other mid 80s show when I was like 3 months old.
j
Astro Boy and Mazinger Z in El Salvador.
Yep, they were in spanish as well.
Years later, Akira and then it went all the way from there :3
Not sure which was first, but about the same time: Astro Boy, Gigantor, Marine Boy, and Prince Planet.
Sailor Moon. Ahh that was before I knew what anime was. I used to watch it everyday right after school.
Probably Voltron. The first series I saw when I recognized it was Japanese animation? Probably Dragonball.
Unico. Not sure which one, but it was definitely in English... had to do with some Lord Kuruku or something.
I was.... what, 4 or 5 when we had it around? My mom got freaked out with its use of the word "Demons", I remember that much.
I'm pretty sure mine was Doraemon. -Rubs chin.- But at the same time, I don't know if I'd watched anything beforehand since I was probably too young to remember. Everyone loved Doraemon, then-- my childhood friends, my parents, their parents. Doraemon. \o/
Tenchi Muyo back when KTEH had Sunday Science Fiction night. They also shows Lum Urasei Yatsura, Key the Metal Idol, Please Save My Earth, Ranma 1/2 (+movies), Robotech, and Evangelion.
Also back then, Fanime and ARG used to do phone drives and sponsor the sci-fi night. (ex: "KTEH would like to thank Fanime Con 2k for their phone volunteers [flash logo here], without their help and time, none of this would be possible. And by viewers like you!")
Speed Racer on cartoon network, though i didnt know it was anime yet, and KTEH's Sunday Science Fiction night.
Sailor Moon, before the days of Cartoon Network. >.>;;;
My first was Voltron, than Robotech (Macross), Ronin Warriors on Fox before they went to cartoon network. Dragon Ball Z on Fox every sunday morning and monday - friday in one if the Spanish channels, speed racer. KTEH sunday science friction night Robotech again, Tenchi Muyo, Evangelion, Sakura Wars, Key the Metal Idot, Urasei Yastsura, Bubblegum Crisis. Sailor Moon on cartoon network. I missed those days, Saint Seiya in spanish.
i didn't know it then but i used to watch thunder cats. the next anime i officially saw was sailor moon
Pokemon. I never got cable in the past to watch Cartoon Network, sadly. :(
I totally forgot about Speed Racer. I guess that would be my first, but Sailor Moon was when I first knew what anime was.

Love Hina
Mine was Sailor Moon - it was on some public broadcast station at 6:30 in the morning, and I'd watch it if I was ready for school a little early and could spare the time. :D (This was many years before Cartoon Network, and now I feel old.)
Oh, wait, does Thundercats count? That definitely predates Sailor Moon.
Excluding heavily Americanized cartoons (like Voltron), the first Anime that I saw was Iria on Scifi.
Akira :-*
Mine was either
Kiki's Delivery Service
Sailor Moon
or... i forgot it's name... XDDD
