I've posted this earlier on the Cosplay.com boards, so I might as well make a copy here too.
It's that time again.....the gatherings have been popping up fast. To my surprise, I saw that no one made a topic regarding this one in particular. Anywho, I felt that someone had to get the word out as soon as possible for this gathering.
Any characters from any fighting game by Capcom or SNK is allowed (to clear up confusion that anyone might have ie: people thinking that only characters from the two Capcom vs SNK games are allowed).
As for other details....
Day: Friday (Same as the last few years)
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: TBA, either inside near the front entrance or outside near the fountains (Depending on size)
I probably can't set this all up alone, so if anyone can help out with the set up, it would be greatly appreciated.
There is a small list set up so far on the cosplay.com board too. The list will be posted here when we get a few more people confirmed to show up.

Made a copy of the list from Cosplay.com to here, with a few name changes (to match the names on the Fanime boards unless noted that the name was from Cosplay.com).
I have a question! Does Fiolina Germi and Clark Steel count as well?
Fiolina Germa, although from SNK's Metal Slug, would not be seen as a fighting game character. It's a cool cosplay, but I think people would have a hard time associating it with the CAPCOM/SNK fighting group.
Even though she was in the King of Fighters games and an unlockable characater in KOF:Maximum Impact 2?

Lemme answer some stuff.
Avairrianna: I would accept Fio. As stated, any character from ANY Capcom or SNK fighting game would be acceptable/qualify for this gathering (since she was in KOF: MI2). Clark Steel counts too (KOF staple).

I don't think I'll be doing the gathering this year. Usually my friend who cosplays Ryo or Terry shows up, but not this year and if I went, it'd just be the usual Iori or Yuri. o_o

Cool, if I can get some more feedback or somewhat, I'll ask for requests on what character themes/songs you want and I'll try to get them onto my iPod or CD, having them ready for the Gathering.

I can get music as well, but so far based on feedback on both here and the Cosplay.com boards (Well.....more like only two answers)........

One person FOR music (from the Fanime boards)
One person AGAINST music (from the Cosplay.com boards, thinks it might distract)

Bit of an update of sorts
1. The person that voted against music changed their vote to FOR music, so if this is all agreed upon, we would need to work out a list of songs/music to play.
2. Dunno about the others but I don't think I can do the Haruhi dance to save my own life.
3. The main basis for the update....... I have been approached by the person that was running the Cosplay Chess and has asked us (the people in the Gathering) if we would want to take part in it. I would like to know what do those think of that idea.
Feedback on any of these (Mainly regarding point #1 and #3) is greatly appreciated.
I have already posted on the cosplay.com boards, but I must give this thing the reverse kiss of death.

2. I can't Haruhi dance, but I will try if anyone else is willing to join me, just for the awesomeness of fighting games characters Haruhi dancing.

Ok, I might've not been too clear.
People in this topic aka most of the Gathering members here haven't said much about interest in doing Cosplay Chess
Also, I do have a couple fighting game tracks downloaded, but I have no speakers to play them on yet.
Ok, if anyone has seen the Cosplay Chess updates, there will be a random cosplay group theme on Friday at 6pm. This would work and apply for us.
If anyone is interested in doing this, please speak up now.
I don't really think we should unless we get really bored or done quickly. I know my boyfriend and our friends will probably leave if we go do cosplay chess but hey you never know right?! If we get done in a hour or less....sure let's go
I want to go, but that's as long as we don't have to rush the gathering as Av stated. I'd love to be in the chess, but not if we're rushing to get there, I've never been to a gathering. So how long was the duration of the gathering last year?
No idea off the top of my head, I would guess half an hour???
I'm sure we could try to have the gathering up until 5:45 to allow people to hurry to other stuff like food, dealers room or in some of our cases, cosplay chess.
So far it sounds good, and I'm totally participating. Hopefully, the gathering doesn't run over.

thats a different Yun though - the shot i was looking for was from the gathering on Friday. it was like Yun was coming down on Akuma with a kick to the jaw kind of pose.
This turned into the Mugen gathering IT WAS SO AWESOME!! ;D
I was there for a short while it was awesome, I was Keiichiro Washizuka from Last Blade or NeoGeo Battle Coliseum but when the mugen gathering started I was the Shinsengumi Saito from Rurouni Kenshin mugen character lol.

Yeah, I was at the Friday gathering for CvS and I wound up jumping in on the MUGEN improv. I wouldv'e been at Sunday's if I didn't have to work that day. Oh well, Dan will rise again next year.
