apparently there were supposedly ads for Acuvue Contacts...
funny ne? discuss. or not.
o.0 Wow...
That's... intense. And funny. I'd want contacts like that, but then it'd look like I have scalera(sp?) contacts on and won't look so very pretty...
But haha, that's hilarious. xD
Hehe that's cute lol if only the contacts came like that then it would be even cooler!
QuoteBut then why must some characters wear glasses? A fashion accessory?
Because of potential moe of course.
That's a really funny ad. XD
I don't think I've ever seen contacts with sparkles before though.

And indeed they are an ad for Acuvue (see here) http://10e.org/mt2/archives/200803/162353.php
Lol. Cute I guess. -.-;
Lelouch looks scary.
But they got it wrong. The other eye is supposed to be a different color. D:

We'd be blinded if they existed. XD;
Actually, there have been contact lenses like this for a long time. It's been a trend from Korea, then the rest of Asia for a while now. I had a pair, but only wore them once since I suck at putting on contacts... but my eyes are already naturally big. A trait I am quite proud of, as an Asian. :3
Also, Specialty contacts have been used in movies for many years.

damn, thats a big difference.
Is it just me or is that a difference between pre-makeup and post-makeup?

Not entirely. That's make-up AND the contacts.

Wow. Makeup and contacts sure can make a huge difference.
However, it also looks like she lost a bit of weight and got a tan. (and dyed her hair)
I assume that is the same girl. Did she do something to her nose? O.o?
-.-; I wonder if some of us caucasians would look better with those contact lenses. -.-;
It might make me tempted if it also blocked enough UV so I could actually open my eyes fully outside without being blinded. Being light sensitive is rather annoying.
Acuvue soft contacts packages say they do (did) have UV protection (but I haven't worn them in a while thou).
I have seen thoes kinds of contacts in the Gothic and Lolita bibles along with CURE and SHOXX magazines. They are pretty...pretty expensive!
http://www.clipjoint-j.com/shop/contact/color-kira.html an example of the big eye thing
But thoes kind I think have a fun decal on the contact to make it look like your eyes are sparkling or appear souless. along with the usual designs of Union Jack flags and neon color contacts.
>: I wish I had a accenting pair to make my eyes sparkle
http://www.clipjoint-j.com/index.html thats one of the companies that I found in the gothic lolita bibles
This site documents an entire transformation from plain-looking girl to Super Sparkly Pretty Pop Music Idol, it's really quite scary.

She uses those contacts too, and there's a link to a much bigger gallery of them.

If you're scared of that, NEVER look up Gyaru or Ganguro.
Oh, I'm not scared of the finished product. It's just the transformation process I find freaky. Mostly the eye gluing.

Why did they title it "Transformer"? It makes me think that they are going to turn her into some sort of robot. -.-;
Good to note if I ever feel the need to look good enough to stop cars and cause a mass subjugation of the male species into my minions. Or if I just feel like changing something and actually looking nice and appealing for once. XP

It's the difference between with and without make-up, basically. Contacts are a part of the "make-up".
But consider another difference between... a good photo, and a bad photo. It makes quite the difference. The lighting is very different, it's showing a better angle, and of course, the make-up makes a significant difference. Her hair's the same. Her skin's the same. And while her weight is possibly the same, her clothes aren't.
