Title: Sacrifices for fanime
Post by: Glitch on April 25, 2008, 02:51:00 PM
As the title says, what have you sacrificed due to saving up money for fanime?

I've had to settle for not seeing certain concerts. Turisas/paganfest on may 9th, and dethklok on june6th. Not to mention I'm not eating out at any resteruant from now until fanime.

1. Not going to prom.
2. Not being able to spend time with my brother who's visiting from San Diego that weekend.
3. My weekend relaxing time.
4. Time wasted for trying to get people to go.

I'm putting in a whole lot of time into preparing for Fanime, so it's not a sacrifice for me to save money at all.  I just don't have the time to go spend money at concerts, movies, malls, etc.

THE RIGHTS TO MY BODY AND MY DIGNITY.

No, not really. Just time and money, but it's worth it, right? =)

3 concerts during Memorial weekend.
It's not because I'm saving up money to go, those concerts are just placed at a rather bad time...

I'd really have liked to go to them, though. D:

The places I've could of seen, I always wanted to go to Burning Man but Fanime is always first.

God save me from Burning Man.  Town gets infested with stinky people whoe think they are too cool for clean clothes.

I've sacrificed summer vacation.  I could take off most of the summer if I spent fanime money on rent instead of fanime...but it's worth it.   ;D

I don't NEED to sacrifice anything for Fanime, other than my hard-earned $$$. However, I'll see what I can do to sacrifice SOMETHING...

...*goes out to search for infants*

Actually more like a semester of college in general (in other words I will be short on funds to finish college)

Prom on a boat. Last time President will ever do that for our school, Rei. Fufufufufu. Should have bought the tickets while they were cheap and then SOLD THEM FOR MORE! MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!

One word: loser.
Jk, jk.

Size doesn't matter. And I figure with that many people, you must have had to avoid incoming mook traffic. At least at OUR prom, the mooks'all friends. So, our memorable prom > your prom.
Oh, geesh. Been to school all these years and I never knew how to spell her name. I thought it was Prussia, not Pressia. Whoops :/
Nah, she didn't irk me at all. She's a cool person and so is her friend that she brought along: Robert.
Damn, that guy had 5 years of dance experience and he showed it on the floor! Taught me a few things there, so I was very happy. Prom wasn't boring for me at all! Btw, someone requested Thriller. When I heard that song, I rushed as fast as I could to the bottom deck. I somehow had a feeling that people were looking for me to dance Thriller >_>;;
So, I went to the bottom deck to avoid them.
DUN DUUUUUUN
DUN DUN DUUUUN!
*tilts head to shoulder

Let's see... oh, right. Don't tell anyone this at school or I'll roundhouse you when I see you. My pants ripped sometime during my breakdancing. I noticed first, so I snuck away and asked one of the teachers for some tape and then they told me to give it to President after I was done. Well, magic tape was magical. Not really. I tried to get the pants back together. I ended up having to look like a waiter by tying my white shirt over my waist and letting it droop out on front. Then, I gave the tape to President and she's like... what did you need the tape for? >_>;;;
I was expecting the question, so I had wrapped my wrists with tape and said that it would give support (BS) when I as doing breakdancing. It passed and later, I ended up hearing my pants rip after the next attempt to dance. So... I tied my jacket around my waist and took off the white shirt and tied that around my thigh. Tourniquet. Now, people thought I walked away with an injury from breakdancing. Lol.

Uh, what else? JT and Rachel were looking pretty suave, surprisingly. Chan didn't do much. Omar came in a white suit with a cane. WTF? Lol. That's my breakdancing partner for you. I feel like I'm totally forgetting to mention something. Oh, well. I'll tell you more at school. Prom was great. Not a sacrifice of time that I thought it would be, Rei.

Sacrifices to Fanime? Sean's sense of dignity. For ritualistically doing a half-assed Thriller. And getting known for it.

Ah, well, during prom, I didn't dance it. I avoided everyone when I heard the song. As for about 7 months ago, that's when I danced a half-assed Thriller. But, it maybe people laugh, and I'm happy about that.

Not going to prom? LoL, even if it is crappy, you should have gone. It's just to say you went with the friends you care oh so dearly (Not..)

Anyways, I will sacrifice time. To go to the staff meetings and SOS training sessions. That's about it. Money, pssh. You kids need to learn2work =P
