Title: So...cosplay help?
Post by: Linzeey on May 05, 2008, 10:28:34 AM
I want to cosplay Nana...from NANA...not Hachi but Nana O. But I'm not sure I'm badass enough to pull that off. Anyone have any suggestions on how to cosplay her?  She's like 90lbs and I'm like...well not. x.x Anyways, my manager may stab me if I dye my hair black. But all is good. So, yet again. Suggestions? Comments? Maybe if you think I'd like another character to cosplay? I'm up for anything. ^^

Well, you don't really have any specific questions so I dunno if I can be of help but... anyway about your hair issue. If you cannot dye your hair black, then why don't you buy a wig? If not, there are those temporary hair dyes that are in stores, though I've never worked with those before so I dunno if those are worthwhile.

Just don't get that black spray dye - it rubs off on EVERYTHING.  I ruined a costume once that way.  But yeah, I second getting a wig.

pretty much a good wig is your best bet.

as for the costume itself, i dont know much about the character you might want to start on it (if its from scratch) ASAP.

it doesnt matter what the body type is, just try your best to make sure the costume if FUNCTIONAL, as if it will withstand walking, glomp and the occasional fanboy looking for the loose pull string of thread the make the entire costume fall apart.

in otherwords we wouldnt want any wardrobe malfunctions.  :)
