Now what do you get? I have a list but not a good list.
And don't say go with the Otaku Diet.
The last convention I went to all i had was water and goldfish
:3
I went to go eat out when I got super hungry!!
I recommend getting some beef jerky and dried fruit. It's good for snacking, packs small, won't go bad, and is nutritious at the same time (as long as you don't get ones with extra salt/sugar).

That... that's hardcore.
As for me, since this is the only time I get to spend with the fanime folks, I try to eat with them if possibly, although the last few times, I've just gone out with family to eat.
Ramen, Trail mix, tea.
What more can you really ask for?

What about boiling water for the Ramen?
I'm taking instant ramen, and a ton of granola bars.
I took instant ramen on my last trip too, which was to a hotel that was really cheap, and they had a coffee maker in the room, so I'm expecting there to be one in the room at the Marriott also... though I've never been at a hotel that's that pricey before and I don't really know what to expect. ^^;
I'll be eating a lot at the cafe that's at the Marriott also, since I read into that and meals are only around five or six dollars a piece. So those will most likely be lunch and dinner for me, since 12 dollars for food a day isn't bad at all.
I'll be bringing water bottles, some spinach leaves, tortilla chips (like, the restaurant kind), a sandwich or something for lunch if I'm not going out, and maybe a treat or something.
I'll be going home roughly every night (I'm just over the hill from SJCC), so I can restock~
I think I'm gonna bring...
Dried mango
Granola
Nuts (as in like, cashews and almonds -_-)
Power Bars/whatever other type of condensed on-the-go food I can find
Several apples
Emergen-C (Vitamins XD )
Probably some jerky
aaannndd some cheesy poofs for good measure
:D
Trail mix
Cheez it
Dried fruit
Cup noodle
Pop tarts for breakfast
Some yogurt and pudding
Either H2O or flavored H2O bottles (haven't decided yet)
I'm bringing cereal bars, Teddy Gramahs, raisans, and a water bottle.
5 Cases of Water
And a costco run by another SOS/Rover.
Probably granola bars, some muffins/breads/etc.
cup o' noodles lol
i'm probably gonna eat those once a day and eat out for the rest of my meals
not planning on buying much merch so i can spend frivolously on food :DDDD
If you have a room near the convention...
Bring an ice box and bring in as many drinks (that you like to drink or keep you awake) as you can with you.
For me, I love soda and energy drinks. But I HATE paying ridiculous prices for em every year just cuz they're sold from vendors or machines.
BTW: Sometimes the machines will sell out of soda. Made me cry when I had to walk all over the convention lookin for some sugar water.
But not this time Fanime! All the energy drinks and free ice I want in my room! Ha Ha!
Jerky and pocky for me food wise and Red Bull/5hour energy and Gatorade to drink And actual food when I need it.

oh, i dont know...maybe some REAL FOOD?!
Kinda late to mention this, but...
If you bring a small ice chest, you can keep some things like cheese, fresh vegies, milk and such. Worked well for me.
At least some people mentioned fruits (fried or fresh).
But seriously, if you can, start off with a good breakfast.
I think I'm getting a Mini Fridge for my room.

those staying in the Hilton(like myself) already have mini-fridges available in their rooms.
Im staying at the hilton too so im probably gonna stack my fridge up with gatorades.
I just can't get enough of that stuff.
We may need to grab a few other things, but I think we're set. We have a ton of stuff to eat.
my groceries for fanime:
new york cut steak
soda
spirits (for the god sister)
chicken
rice
some random snacks
Plenty of restaurants in the area. Probably eating out for the entire weekend. One year, one of my roommates brought a box-full of cup-noodle, crackers, and boxes of Caprisun. o_0 But we ended up eating out, anyway.
I have doubts anyone in our room is bringing food. Just booze.
la victories is down san carlos, 4 blocks east of the con center. there's also a jack in the box, iguanas taqueria, and pizza my heart in the same general vicinity. oh and a mcdonalds

*giggles*
I'm done shopping, got pretty much what everyone said, but not what Jun said I.E. Booze (Not of the age yet) :'(
D:
Yeah so uhm...I didn't end up grocery shopping. -_-
I mainly ate snacks that I bought at the dealers room and loooots of coffee
although I did have breakfast coupons for the hilton so I did eat a good meal once a day
Still, raving on that diet was pretty bad...pretty bad indeed...
