Someone list all of the questions.

As for the street fighter one, how was it worded, because I'd challenge it. SF1 had two buttons "Punch" and "Kick" It wasn't until the second cabinet came out did it have the 6 button lay out... but frankly, that question is so incredibly easy.

No. Go away. I don't have time for rabble rousers and if you wanna complain rather than relax and have fun then I don't have time for you.

These things always interest me, but whenever I do decide to go to one, I'm horribly disappointed at the lack of content, variety, and even through put into whatever it is. It's usually a bunch of mainstream crap where, anyone who knows anything about the basics of what's happened in the video game world would know. You never see awesome questions like...

What was the basis for Kojima's top selling adventure game for the Sega CD and Turbo Grafx-CD?

A question that first requires you to know... what game that is. Then one that you'd need to know the basic history of said game.

Instead we get crap like... "LOLOLOL IN FINAL FANTASY, WHAT IS THE NAME OF AERIS' FINAL LIMIT BREAK?!?!?"

It's always about main stream games, never see anything that's really trivia.

What was the name of the unreleased Penn and Teller game, and what system was it for?

In R.C. Pro AM, letters appeared on the track. Collecting them and spelling what word, caused what to happen? <=- I consider this an easy question. Since it's basically stating "if you played this game, you should know the answer".

Name all of the limit breaks from Final Fantasy 6. <=- See, this is a final fantasy question, that I doubt MOST FF FANS would even know.

You might like this panel, then. Thats the kind of gamer we had in mind when we began making questions.

I'll put it this way: We have dozens of questions made already and we're just barely realizing we need to put some mainstream ones in to balance it out. Everything we know for trivia we can think of is obscure because thats what we as a group lean towards question-wise. Actually now that i think of it. You have the exact mindset we had when we went into it.

Anyhow, we're trying to hit the delicate balance so that the hardcore can appreciate it and the casual aren't so overwhelmed they feel alienated. We're trying to make something everyone can enjoy, basically.

From the Fanime Website: "Think you're a top tier gamer? See how you stack up in a test of your knowledge of video trivia as well as hands on gaming skill. In this game-show themed panel Hosted by Team Banzai, two teams compete for fun and prizes as well as bragging rights to see which is the ultimate gaming crew."

The run time for this panel will be 2 hours approx. 12pm-2pm Saturday afternoon. This panel will be a gameshow with a virtual gameboard designed by our very own Kajetokun. Hosted by myself and Moogle of Console Wars fame. (And with real prizes, thats right REAL prizes).

Rounds will range anywhere from general game playing challenges to trivia that will test your knowledge of not just video games but anime and general trivia knowledge as well to flat out boss battles.... against the members of Banzai... >.>

So please come! there will be REAL prizes worth your while. And please compete! The competition will be done in teams of 4. So get teams together for this if you're interested. We will be holding multiple rounds within the time frame of the panel so even if you don't get picked first round, you have a chance of getting in in another round!

Thanks!  ;D

Panels and Workshops / 4chan panel?
January 11, 2006, 12:51:37 PM
Quote from: "Blues"I say that if it were to truely be a 4-chan panel, you'd set up a huge router for everyone to hook their computer up to, and connect that to a projector that would display random images that people would submit, followed by people commenting on it out loud. It'd be a crazy and ludicrously fast paced as 4-chan, but live.

The only problem there is you can't make typos out loud...

Thus it won't be as funny. :(

I have this mental image of everyone at the 4Chan panel just up and raiding other panels and spaming them with random crap. XD In true 4Chan fashion

You're not.  That's actually a relatively popular fan theory.

That's good to know... I actually don't know many people that know what Rival Schools is so I'd have no idea what people think. Most people around where I live don't even know what Darkstalkers is...

I can never find decent players for this or Psychic Force 2012 (which I own).  If anyone else can play, that'd be great.

And, just being nit-picky, but Justice Gakuen for DC is the third game in the series.  The first two were for PSX.  The second was never released in the US, but was little more than rehash of the first with two new characters (Ran & Nagare) and a ADV character creation mode (which is arguably plenty of reason to play it).

I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks Ran is the sister of Dan of Street Fighter Fame. XD

Quote from: "Spiritsnare"On the contrary, it still does have a variety of songs that Extreme lacks (Lucyfer's Sky High, for example, as opposed to DJ Miko's Sky High -- or many E-Rotic songs.)

I went over the songlist again and I see your point. I think the songs I was thinking of were the ones exclusive to/debuting in 4th Plus.

Quote from: "Spiritsnare"
Funny that you say [...] because ITG was created in response to Konami not releasing any new arcade releases in past years. However, this is a DDR tournament, and that's what we're going to stick to. The machine will most likely be an Extreme; MAX2 is very hard to come across these days, as they've been replaced by Extremes or ITG/2s.

I really don't have anything against ITG. I think the stepcharts are great. the songs are just too.... Eh. I don't know what the word I'm looking for is.

It's that the songs from DDR were really crazy and the more you listened to them to more you liked them.

ITG songs are just... songs. It's like they don't have any heart. They're harder to freestyle because of it in my opinion.

But, I'm going to stop myself. I don't want to go on about this nor do I want to derail this topic.

Quote from: "Spiritsnare"Oh, and BTW, please edit your songlist post to redirect to this text file.

Done and done. Thanks.  :D

Quote from: "winry_elric"  wow. Okay, I think we should have the 4th mix, becasue some people are saying how Extreme is getting a little old....

4th plus isn't so good for freestyle... =|

I option for 7th mix (Max 2) If there's any possible way we can get ahold of it. Assuming people are just that sick of Extreme.

And ITG is the devil.

Ok, here are the probably incomplete song lists for 4th plus and 8th mix... I'm probably missing a bunch and I probably repeated like crazy but at least if gives everyone an idea, right? =\

Edit: Text file, yo.
