I bought the August issue anyway and the coverage is good enough for me.What about this price increase I heard about? I read about the magazine going to 14.99  (or something) starting September (not in the magazine itself). I hope thats a joke.

I've read recently that with Newtype, the only way to get the free dvd each month is to suscribe.Not an option for me since I currently can't afford the subscriction price.
I don't get Anime Network but I've read that since its getting into mainstream cable, it will no longer be uncut.Is that true?
Any thoughts?

As for the 4Kids thing, you realize they butcher the anime they get to the point of sacrilige (sp?), and I think every anime that gets licensed here in the USA SHOULD get an uncut release on dvd, so fans could watch the series in its original form. If 4Kids still released butchered titles on one dvd for the kids parents to buy, and uncut on another dvd for the fans to buy, they would make more money wouldn't they?

I'm wondering because it seems that every anime company does someone to make fans MAD!  :evil:  
The only company that bother me is 4Kids, beacuse they don't release any anime uncut and subbed.Actually they bring out and butcher titles that most forum members here probably don't really care for. For anyone here that likes One Piece, I guess the only option is the original manga ($Kids licensed the anime).
When Nelvana got Cardcaptor Sakura on tv (butchered), atleast Geneon/Pioneer somehow gave us the original series subtitled, that don't bother me.
Even ADV makes fan cringe, espcially when they've been trying to screw over lots of fansubbing groups and licensing anime before it even gets finished airing in Japan (other companies license things fast too, but ADV is like yikes!).
If I watch an anime on dvd and the dub is bad, I'll just switch to subbed, simple as that.

So what do you think?

I heard alot of fansub groups have been getting screwed over lately and some fansub sites have been shutting down. I wonder why.

Instead he got a really dumb Gundum that dances a cute little Irish jig while dodging an ak-47 being shot By Sergeant Douchebag's brother. Captain Pig who flies with Supermans cape on and Chiyo chan who can play a musical red Haro named Floyd while wearing a revealing red chinese dress that made everyones nose bleed until they all fainted, anyone got a tissue? asked a dehydrated Kinfreon before he coughed up large amouts of cheese which formed a giant mice let free and began munching then came along a phat sack of cheba. Lets eat cheese! Got any CHEESE, Laura? Suddenly the cast of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers suggested we eat menchi! I thought this ended? asked a confused Menchi.
