I don't think so.

Did anyone catch the theme for next year?

I think they usually don't confirm the theme for next year until much closer to the con date.

They usually announce it at the closing ceremonies.

The issue for me was mostly congestion, soooo many people on Thursday.

Maybe putting sellers in back first would keep it from getting swamped like that?

Let the FanimeCon 2016 countdown begin!

Only 366 days until Day 0 on the 26th of May, 2016.

Best thing I did last year after Fanime '14 was make notes on what to do different and it worked out well. I left behind stuff I didn't need and ate better because of it.

Anybody thinking in advance for next year?

Was there a reason we were in half the hall and not spread out more?

You only register online if you intend to pay online.

Registration will be on the street level of the convention center. Maps have been posted.

You can't scroll the website on mobile.

How the hell do you screw that up?

Seems to scroll for me just fine.

What are you using? Chrome on android doesn't want to scroll for me at all, using Chrome on a desktop requires I click on the scrollbar and move it to get it to scroll.

In particular, the events page: http://www.fanime.com/events/

20 1's
4 5's
2 10's

I suggest dropping the 2 tens in favour of 4 fives, it's a lot more versatile for only two extra bills in your float.

With regards to reselling and pricing: If the item is valuable and you want to get good money for it, price it high. If it's something that's just taking up space and you want to  get rid of price it to go and be relieved it's out of your life.

Paypal does the e-payments thing, so does Square. I know you can buy square at retail stores for $10 and get a credit with it in, which is an option this close to Fanime.

If he has an ID it's no problem. In the likely event that he doesn't you need a parent or legal guardian to show their ID to get his badge.

16 days! So close, and I fly into San Jose in only half as many days!

I had a blast last year, I stumbled across more fun panels than I ever attended before. The weird music video one, the bootleg one, and then the science and history of diving ones at Clockwork Alchemy.

Alright! I think I'll see if I can change my pick up location to Fanime and the SJCC then so I can get my prop peace bonded after picking up my badge. Thanks for the reply! :)

You don't really NEED to change your pickup location, I understand they use that to track expected pick-ups, but both pick-up stations can print off your badge.

  • Technically answered already but- if you only want to go on Sunday, you do not buy anything online.

Actually you can buy one-day memberships online, you just have to do it the day of. So you can purchase a Sunday badge 12:01 AM until 6 PM on Sunday online and go pick it up at the con.

I go to the closing ceremonies every year. Plenty of people make suggestions and comments and usually they're greeted with "Good point, we'll look into it."

For example, three separate people recommended some basic signs for helping people get around the con. What do you want to bet nothing will come of these suggestions?

Dealers Room / Re: Spotting Counterfeits???

The best was when the panel leader showed us an example of a bootleg bag and someone in the front row had one of them that they had just purchased in the Dealer's Hall.

I'm sure there are some great guides out there that trump what I have to say, but there was a great panel last year on bootlegs that was pretty hilarious.

Did you try "Anime Resource Group?"

Question:

We plan on getting a table.  What are the rules regarding adult material?  One of us has some yaoi they plan on selling.

FYI, there are no tables, just a space lined out on the floor.

Adult material must be in a non-see-through box, labelled 18+, and you're limited to one box.
