Damn, this is gonna be hard for me since I can't afford a badge but I can still take the light rail. Will you be at any gatherings outside?

Well, you don't actually need a badge to just be ON the concourse and the DS has a range of 100 feet. As long as something is transmitting and you're within range, it'll pick up.

Still the convention center is quite big, it may be difficult to come across me under the conditions.

Fortunately, DPPt comes equipped with tools to deal with that. One of the PokeTech apps lets it search for transmitting DS signals and it can piggy back (from what I've read) onto unlocked wi-fi signals. Plus, it doesn't require a time limit. That is, you don't have to start it up and wait for 30 seconds until it gives you a read out, it updates in real time. I did this last year, I switched it on and wandered around the convention center until I found people who were connected.

Two things about your update:

1. I don't see that you mentioned the most likely place to find you, although I'm going to guess that the gaming room will be home.
2. For anyone who would like to get the events when you are out of costume, it wouldn't be that hard. As long as you're within 100 feet of the distribution point, Mystery Gift will still pick it up and download the event, regardless of you knowing where the distribution point is.

As I just recently discovered it, maybe Onna no Goumon might be a good play for next year (might be too soon for this year).

Subs are always good. Never watch them dub

Well....we're screening porn here, I don't think what their saying matters much.

No thanks, I rather watch them subs. But that just me.

Consider what is going subbed.

"HUUU HUUU HUUU HUUU HUUU AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I CUM NOW~!"

You really need little words at the bottom of the screen to tell you that?

Bleh... my bf's train gets here at 8:30 PM on Thursday, so we'll have to pick up our badges on Friday morning.
I was looking forward to the swap meet and empty arcade room! ;  ;

You might still be able to get in, if you get a piece of paper with your badge information on it. That's what I did last year, I was late and got the reg desk to give me a printout. The guy at e-gaming didn't have a problem with that.

If you have transportation and basic cooking skills, you can make a decently priced meal or three with ingredients bought at Mitsuwa.

So for Day 0(Thursday) it's at 5-8PM? Works for me! Cause I have a final at noon on that day. xP

Works out for a lot of people. Both hotels will be having their checkin around noon or so.

Depending on the hotel and the availability of the rooms. Many hotels will let you in around noon, but only if rooms are cleaned and available. I've had to wait until almost 2 PM for a room to open up before I could check in (listed available time was 3PM).

*shrugs* I've never had an issue on Fanime weekend. There is no convention before us, so the only guests they have are Fanime people who came in the morning and general costumers who will more than likely be leaving around noon on Thursday.

All Arceus work the HG/SS event, even hacked ones (this also goes for Jirachi). This has been tested online by various people, I think documentation can be found on Bulbapedia.

I can't recall ever seeing anyone selling wigs.

Really? I seem to recall seeing a few dealers with a small stock of wigs on sale and at least one person at least years swap meet who had a bunch.

 ???

I loved Chulip and I was thrilled when I was finally able to get my own copy (for a while, I wasn't sure if it was going to be translated or not). It's a quirky little romp through your standard coming of age story. Yeah, it has problems, but so does every other game in existence.

I play every few months or so, whenever I remember it exists. The last server I played on was RebirthRO and I played around with the Taekwondo Kid class.

I don't see how you're going to get yourself in trouble. The map is free for anyone to look up and everything is pretty much in the same spot as last year and the year before that.

just remember that Rovers and super elite executive staff has special easter eggs all around the convention center...

like secret passage ways, hidden rooms and caves that lead to pirate treasure, but...

BOY THERE WAS ALOT OF BOOBY TRAPS!

It's not like the convention center has a Room of Requirement that will just spontaneity change based on the whim of some random investor. Regardless of any 'easter eggs' and whatnot are floating around, the map of the center is the same and most, if not all, of the major events seem to be in the same spot they've been in for the last so many years.

I finished my last final two days ago and turned in my last few assignments yesterday afternoon, so I'm set.

Just something to consider for next year or so...  I'd like to suggest having an "Adult Swapmeet" during  "Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri" nights.

Proof of age would already be checked before allowing guests into the adult anime rooms, and the sellers could then display their adult wares without having to worry about checking IDs of under-age buyers.

In the general Swapmeet areas, it's very crowded with folks are trying to score great deals; and the poor sellers are trying to keep an eye on their general wares ontop of making sure their Adult stash is not being viewed or purchased by the under 18 fans.

I'm sure a lot of Swapmeet sellers would love to unload their Hentai collection, and not have to worry about losing their stuff to Security, getting kicked out of Fanime, or being arrested for selling adult material to minors.

Again, it's just a suggestion to consider for next year's Fanime and beyond.  Thanks!!

In theory, that would be great. However, look at just how much yaoi/hentai is sold during a normal Swap Meet. Relatively little compared to everything else. I can't imagine an all yaoi/hentai Swap Meet having more than a few people with little to sell. That, or it would become another outlet for dealers to pretend they are con goers.
