Join us for an afternoon of subtitled anime. Valentine's Day is coming up, and the Bottle Fairies learn about making chocolate.  Although the Card Captor Sakura anime didn't have a Valentine's Day episode, Sakura is the personification of everything sweet and pink. Meanwhile, Youko learns about the relationship that destroyed one of the Twelve Kingdoms, Tweeny Witch Arusu explores a relationship with her mirror, Loki and Kantaro have girl problems, and Half Section fights to make the office safe for romance.

Happy New Year! Come join us while we bring to mind our acquaintance with the series from last year. The King and Kirin of En will reminisce about events from 500 years ago in The Twelve Kingdoms, Arusu, Eva, and Shiela struggle to reunite with their friends in Tweeny Witches, Hachimaki returns to his family in Planetes, Suzu revisits an old friend in Tactics, and the students of Seio Academy recall old legends in Otoboku. Also, don't forget that the cliffhanger episode from Bottle Fairy will receive a resolution.

I believe most of their members had been a part or was involved with clubs such as :

No Name Anime
www.nnanime.com

Folks from other Anime clubs are welcome to attend No-Name Anime showings. While I think once upon-a-time there was a BAAS group that regularly attended the showings, I don't know of any more significant involvement. If anyone from BAAS has been attending in recent years, they've either been quiet about it or I haven't been paying enough attention. Since our December meeting is above averagely festive, sometimes we have more of the faithful from other clubs than in other months so I'll try to pay more attention.

Not sure of my schedule yet, but I hope to hang out for a while.

We hope you will enjoy our electronic schedules, but if you prefer to continue receiving paper copies of the schedule in the mail, please renew your subscription by filling out the mailing list sign-up sheets at the meeting or by following the instructions on our Contact page. For those who convert to the web page or electronic mailing list, thanks in advance for helping us save paper.

Finally, a big thank you to the Santa Clara City Library and all of our attendees for another great year!

November is traditionally about gathering the harvest and sharing it with friends and family. Separated classmates share a journey in Twelve Kingdoms, warlocks are harvesting fairies in Tweeny Witches, a mysterious new character gathers birds in Loki, Mugen and Jin join yakuza families in Samurai Champloo, and Miyanokouji makes new friends in Otoboku. Come gather with No-Name Anime and share the viewing experience!

BTW, do people cosplay at No-Name? :3

Our December meeting is a little more festive than the meetings for the rest of the year.
Last year, ININ cosplayed.
See http://www.nnanime.com/events/NNanniversary15/index.html

Most of the people who attend No-Name never cosplay. Depending on exactly who shows up this month, there might be a few who cosplay sometimes if not at No-Name meetings.

While you were out of the area, No-Name Anime moved to the Santa Clara library. You're welcome to join us  this Saturday afternoon (10/10, http://www.nnanime.com/flyers/2009/fly09_10.html) and following 2nd Saturdays of the month. Besides us, there are other anime clubs like Tsunami (San Jose State) and Foothill.
Sweet, I'll defiantely go! =D
When is Tsunami? o.o
In general, Thursdays at 7pm.  I don't know if they are active this month or not. Their online schedule  http://studiokyuu.com/tsunami/Schedule.html was for an old showing when I looked. If you don't find out before Saturday, I can probably find out then from someone who regularly attends both No-Name and Tsunami.

October brings autumn, athletics, and apparitions. While the Bottle Fairies celebrate autumn with art and athletics, Youko deals with spirits and half-beasts in The Twelve Kingdoms, Ryo Saeba is hired by a murder victim in City Hunter, the warlocks are brewing up trouble in Tweeny Witches, Loki from Ragnarok and Kantaro from Tactics are up to their supernatural escapades, and the past (or past episodes) comes back to haunt the Mini-Goddesses and characters in Samurai Champloo and Planetes.

Hitomi Shimatani (prob impossible unless someone is in good with Avex Trax)
I think she'd be great in concert. Weren't FanimeCon's biggest musical acts from the last three years all signed with Avex? I like almost all Avex artists that did songs for Inu Yasha: Dream (DRM), ELT, ...

I've also been converted to the "Halko Momoi, please come back" crowd.

Suspi, thanks for the badge! I'm sorry I finished lunch on Saturday and went to Artist Alley too late to see everybody. I think I spent too much time hiding to see many people from the Boards, but I did get to hang out with Chloe for a little while.
