As Phobia and Hakaru said don't give up and keep trying. The portraits look more like they'd go on MySpace than a contest. I did like the sky one, it had an interesting contrast in my opinion, plus I generally like watching the sky and clouds. Though it may sound harsh, Mikey and Jun both gave pretty good advice. I hope what they said doesn't discourage you, but inspires you to try different things.

You know what would be awkward... running into a relative at an anime con while in costume or finding out that a forum member is a cousin at the gathering meeting. (I had a dream that xXunyuuXx was one of my cousin's kids. XD; I bet it was that darn 12 year old joke that caused that. -.-;)

Not exactly family, but I had this friend while in elementary school named Steven. Once I moved I lost contact with him for nearly 8 or 9 years. I ended up seeing him at Fanime while I was wearing full drag. -_- Sad thing is, he's the one who recognized me even with my C-cups. Lol.

I got my reservation at the Mariott  :D

I think everyone saw her last year after the An Cafe Concert as she was dancing in her underwear for everyone to see on the Corner Room facing the street of San Carlos and Market. Everyone from the Street level was gawking and waving back at her...

I heard rumors she even waved at the Chairs from last year and this year.

Yeah, my roommates are wild like that.  :D
