I found a big group of cosplayers at my local mall today.  I almost went up to say hi, but chickened out.  Do you guys cosplay at random places?  I wish I had the nerve.  Please share your stories of random acts of cosplay.  :D

lol yep! a lot of times actually... 'cept usually it's the whole group. But my girlfriend and I will randomly go out and cosplay for the hell of it. We get enough odd stares as it is. No biggie if we grab a few others as well xD Usually we go as Naruto characters  ;D

OMG that was just awesome, kudos to those narutards xD

I know Orochimaru, I and a few others want to cosplay and go to six flags. Go on the rides even the water ones ^_^; our poor wigs wont survive long.

So, instead of doing Orochimaru next year, I was hoping to try Kimimaro! As much as I adore my cheeze-it loving pedo alter ego, his skin paint is a bitch (I'm still cleaning out the inside of Sasu's car ^_^').

I think white will forever be part of my car now....

Hoping to find a shot from the first gathering when chosen_entity(orochimaru) ended up just giving me a piggy back ride cause I was so tired v.v

The picnic was epic.  I really didn't expect that the UNO game would be so well accepted.  :)  Such fun getting to talk with people.  Put names to faces.

That game was so fun xD especially with the 6 or so people playing,
the hyuuga's could't win at all. Itachi kept making Sasuke draw cards or be skipped. and Tobi could hardly pay attention... >>

Haha, Uno was pretty fun, especially when we got those squishy rings involved! xD I think I may have gotten the most stuck in Neji's hair :D
By that point I had to take my Deidara wig off though, it was killing my head xP

Just got back from the store, and it turns out my checker will be going to the gathering as Itachi! He was so adorable! We shared a high-fives at the awesomeness that is Fanime. :3

So, should we add Random K-Mart Guy (since I can't remember his name) to the list? :D

... Oh! Add my friend Catherine to the list for sure! She's going as Sasuke (Akatsuki version, I believe).

I've never had a malt(I had every look it up)... i may have to drag Orochimaru with me to try one as well.
Working and moving while fanime is only a few weeks away is indeed difficult (as well as trying to keep the cosplay items for getting packed)

Why don't you try making the sword??? You could make it out of board and paint it. Or something. Heck, I'm sure you could find a tutorial online on how to make it. I had to find a tutorial to help me figure out how to make my Cardcaptor Sakura staff. And it would probably be cheaper than buying one.

I was going to make a nice quality one out of wood, working hard on the prop just to down scale too cardboard just isn't the same v.v and it probably to late to try to find someone else with the right power tools. oh well...

Though the costume is done, no sword to finish it off v.v

If everyone wants the images to look more whole, I don't mind being thrown in there instead of akatsuki, sense all I have to do is take off the akatsuki cloak.
I'll have my cloak either way, just an idea ^^ just be nice sense there's already an akatsuki Sasuke.
