Tryouts Round 2: FIGHT!

But quick question though, how many meetings/tryouts will there be? I noticed a requirement is to at least attend two meetings.

You think Vampires are Sexy now?

I'd tap it.

And I just noticed this was in the Serious Business section.

I hope this thread isn't dead. :(

I'm actually curious about getting in touch with "that hot guy" at Yaoi Bingo. For those who were there, he was one of most desired guys, and he and his friend worked at a Martial Arts booth iirc. Some girls bought more bingo cards solely to get the attention of that guy.

Now, you're probably asking why I want to know about this specific guy.

Well...
a - He was a damn brave soul.
b - He gave me good lulz when he straddled on this guy I knew who got tricked into going to Yaoi Bingo. That made my day.

I wish Buffy or Alucard would put an end to this. ;-;

Also Pattinson hates Twilight, and I heard he's staying single because no girl sees him as Robert Pattinson. Instead, they see him as Edward Cullen. Poor guy, but hey, he's making bank.

Yeah, I had to point it out.

It's a part of growing up, because this kind of thing is cute during elementary, but just plain creepy when you're grown up.

//tries this thread as well then 8D

hey everyoneeeeee... so i kinda fell in love with some guy at Fanime. and i kept following him around like a little puppy the whole time...

and i was wondering if anyone knows his name or contact information i didn't really know where else i could ask forum wise ;__;....

and i was too nervous to ask him cause i had butterflies and giggles and stuff xDDDDDDDD

i'm also looking for other pictures of him D< cause i only got like um... 5 ;~;...

http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs594.snc3/31314_1382199048000_1622689377_893977_1602934_n.jpg

he was wearing that outfit the whole time but sunday night he had his pantlegs all the way down and took off his shades :3~ i think his first name is Louis or Louise or Lewis.. //doesn't know ;__; HALP. ;__;

Maybe I'm just paranoid or missing something, but this does rub off as a bit creepy and to some extent stalkerish for me. :/ "Following around like a lost little puppy"? I'd personally get creeped out, especially the fact you mentioned he wasn't actually cosplaying.

**On a serious note, I KNOW people that were stalked at a con, and it's honestly not a pretty matter whatsoever. Hell, it's not even cute or puppy love, it's HORRIFYING. And you're also lucky to be a girl, because if you made this EXACT post and you were a guy instead, you would be automatically called out as a stalker, with NO MERCY WHATSOEVER.

And if he was interested in you back...you know, you wouldn't need to follow him or ask to take pictures with him 5 times. By this time, he would've given you his contact info and such so you wouldn't need to be asking the forum. If you like someone, GO FOR IT. Don't just follow someone around. Get that contact info, exchange numbers, and find time to hang out.

Well, if you ever find this "soulmate" of yours, congrats. If you don't, it obviously wasn't fate.

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Sneaking in.....
June 08, 2010, 12:13:59 PM
So I talked to this cool dude that worked at the hotel that was helping my group put our baggage in our car, and apparently they get in to the convention for free because they work there.

Maybe in two years I'll go to SJSU and work at Hilton or Marriot.

I remember watching the news, and it mentioned something about San Jose and money issues, and I thought...

"Nah, just wait 'till Fanime happens!"

Money is totally not a problem with me when it comes to Fanime, especially since I actually don't buy much at conventions due to the fact I can usually get better bargains. This year, I only bought a doujinshi from Jo Chen.

I almost bartered with the people selling Japanese snacks since most of their products were overpriced. Which reminds me, too, it's actually rare for me to buy at conventions since sometimes a couple of the sellers try to sell things for twice the price. Usually, I check online or head to Jtown to do a mini price check. That way, I'm prepared so I don't get ripped off/need to barter.

Artist Alley wasn't really worth it this year. Just same old buttons, PLUS disappointing art quality. Just wondering, do the staff do a background or art check about who gets a spot? I'm sorry if it's offensive, but honestly, I remember seeing some low quality art.

Hearing about the L.M.C. thing was ridiculous. Even though I was the one screaming "Who's L.M.C.?", seriously...I think a warning for many people in line would've been best.

Stairs should stay open, unless it's part of the fire hazard safety rule.

Also Yaoi Bingo was absolutely NOT 16+! My program clearly stated it, I remember because I had to show the program to someone who got tricked into going.

Zac Efron is actually a Death Note fan from what I hear, so I have some faith in him to some extent.

And please, Johnny fucking Depp better not take the spotlight as L if he is casted as him, since the Alice in Wonderland situation was sorta...bullshit.

Odd, mine wasn't. It was already in the bathroom.

Personally I wasn't too fond of Marriot. The bathroom doesn't lock since its just a sliding door, and let's just say there was too many walk-ins that it was ridiculous. There seriously wasn't enough towels either.

I crashed at the Hilton one night, and it's almost like the Marriot, but the bathrooms lock and you don't need to ask for a fridge from what I know.

Then I also went by the Crowne Plaza, and damn, now THOSE rooms were big and nice. But the walking distance was meh.

So overall, next year I think I'd rather stay at the Hilton. And hopefully in Fanime 2011 the suites may be available also (though it'll kill my budget, even if I barely went shopping this Fanime).

Big Event Showcase / Re: Fanimaid Cafe 2010
June 01, 2010, 12:04:49 PM
To Jun, Mikey, Mizuki, Mei, and the rest of the lovely maids!

OMG Thank you for such a great year! It was really fun getting to be a maid for maid cafe, and I hope to volunteer again next year! :) I appreciate everything you all have done for the cafe and the times we all spent together! Hopefully we all see each again soon or next year~. Thanks again!

Love,
Shino

P.S. A lot of customers kept asking me why there are no butlers or men. -_- LUCKILY the posts and previous threads explaining why helped me tell them that. And here is a bonus pic with me as a customer:

Yeah, they had a few left from what I remembered. It's the one poster in the front of New People.
#19
Ooh, just watched the movie.

It was really good, but too long. X_X I liked the seats, and the staff was really friendly. There are also movie posters for $5 available in the cafe.

Also the bathrooms were nice, especially the toilets! There's this button you could press so it could wash your booty. :x

For the VIZ theater at New People, do I need to preorder tickets or can I just buy tickets when I get to the theater?
