Gaming / Re: Tabletop (Board/Card Games)

I'm not too certain on how much demand there would be for such a game, but I have Heroscape's two master sets and a great deal of expansion sets as well. However, considering the way boards are setup (long process) it probably isn't fanime-capable. If there's an interest, however, it can be done.

Yes, it is being turned into a movie, and no, they will not respect the author's original intentions.

I'd destroy every Klondike bar in the world.

Should Bill Cosby have the right to choose what can or can not be said?

WAAAAAAAY too many Falco, Wolf and Fox players.
srsly
If you're one of those people who pwn with not-so-high-end characters, /hug to you~!
If you're one of those people who play Falco, Wolf or Fox and get your ass kicked by Peach...
/facepalm

Can't we play as Fox/Wolf just because they're cool guys?  :( I happen to like the Starfox games, so I pick the characters that are from it. We don't all follow tier-lists, y'know. Not trying to make trouble, but there's no need to assume someone uses those characters purely for tier-reasons.

Aren't we all a little bit blind?

I have the confidence (and dancing skills) of a possum (i.e. when push comes to shove, I may as well be dead. :P ) when it comes to these things, so I too can appreciate the value of such an idea. (This will also be my first B&W ball)

Total newbie here (As evidenced by my other topic) but I would definitely be interested in getting my game on, so-to-speak. (I have basic understanding of D&D, but no real practice/experience)

Very glad to hear it! I probably will stop by if I don't get so lost/side-tracked/confused that I forget. Many thanks for the responses *nods gratefully*

Well, all the tabletop games in general. I know the rules to most things, but lack materials (Know the rules for M:tG but don't have cards due to finances) and in other cases lack both. I'm wondering mostly for board games and such, though, or particular card games (I hear things of this "Munchkin" card game that I know nada about). Stuff like that.

Gaming / Feelings Towards New Players?
April 24, 2010, 10:18:26 PM
I'm relatively new to Fanime, having gone only once before and only for the last day, and don't have much experience with the various tabletop games played. Exactly what is the attitude towards new players of these sorts of things? Are we expected to learn the game on our own before doing anything with other people? Are there certain games that are very new-player friendly? etc.. Any help would be appreciated.
