Aight folks finally got a quote back it is more than I thought. It is 3,000 ish for 56 ppl. Because we have to ut up the bus driver in the hotel and what not. It comes out to $60 ish per person, so I am nixing the idea because while it is cheaper than plane and equal to train( love that rhyme), Someone will have to pay the entire amount on card then we would need to hope that EVERYONE paid. And if someone didnt or has to cancel we would be left footing the bill all o us. Unless we overbook then we might ahve to leave some of u fellars and fallarettes( Is that the word?) behind and thats just too mean:(. Which would make the card owner have to essentially go all loan shark. As such it would be too difficult to coordinate so many ppl in so many places. Plus the point was to save money from bus i guess:p might as well go train at this rate.

You could also use a group of friends. Even posting here would be fine. Everybody enjoys cosplaying as  agroup as it looks many tiems more impressive, but a lot of times their friends don't wanna cosplay from that anime. So if u post it on a forum im sure ull get some ppl! Btw I like ur username xD it makes this forum feel like the world!

It is round trip, I went to buscosts.com /en/bus-types. Im thinking $31 is a crappy estimate because its just off the price of the bus. PIm looking to get a quote, but the likelihood is it will be a bit higher

I'm actually curious about getting in touch with "that hot guy" at Yaoi Bingo. For those who were there, he was one of most desired guys, and he and his friend worked at a Martial Arts booth iirc. Some girls bought more bingo cards solely to get the attention of that guy.

Now, you're probably asking why I want to know about this specific guy.

Ive heard stories about awful staff, but as far as im concerned that is a myth. All of the staff I met was courteous and did their best to make the droll parts of the con like line waiting as fun as posible. Any time I had questions, all I had to do was turn around there was a staff member who I could ask. Thx for a fun Fanime:D

Probably, but we are going in groups-ish( two groups of two not much of a group i guess xD). Going to LA alone is a risky business especially on bus or train.

If anyone has any pics of the Luffy's, group shots, and straw hat group shots from the One Piece gathering or Justice League, Hero, DC vs MARVEL, and other pics that would have the green lantern from the DC/MARVEL gathering I would love to have them please.  I'm the guy in both pics below.

Id like to invite u, but we have four members in our party already D: a fifth would be impossible for the room. I do recomend recomend priceline IF EVERYONE IS GURANTEED( ud need min 3). Last year I got a room for i think it was $50 per night and this was like 3-4 weeks ahead of time. I say guranteed because THEY DO NOT DO REFUNDS. They are the best deal, but at the cost of refunds. As long as you are downtown u need not worry about distance too much because the tram is very convenient and takes u all the way to the convention center.

Also try and avoid the Wilshire Grand.

The bad was from the SpoonyOne's vlog hotel from hell. The water took 40 minutes to get started and hot( this is after u turn on the sink as well), there was a foul odor alrady in the room, it was loud, and the power cables were behind a heavy bureau, and negligible water pressure.

holy crap bro, $300?  :o bus is way less, but u get crazies. I would recomend plane. My friend just bought a round trip ticket at $200 and he'll only be in the air for an hour and not have to wrory about dying in a fiery inferno of LA traffic

This is currently in planning stages and would likely not be implemented till next year's Ax( Unless planning goes ridiculously well that is), but I have recently played with the ideas of a charter bus to Ax. It would start in the SJ/SF area and ride all the way there. I got this idea because I rode the bus to Ax last year with some friends and met a couple of other cool guys who we ended up meeting up with at Fanime. The downside of the whole bus expereince, was a crazy racist bum asking my friend, " Wut kinja ajin are ye boy? better not be the wrong one or ull meet my knife that goes boom(o.O gunblade?)." I figure a charter bus would eliminate undesirables and give everyone a great chance to meet a ton of ppl!:).
I did do maybe some light research and found that a charter bus that seats about 61 ppl would be near $1920( not sure if that includes gas and driver), it seems costly, but if u divide out the costs we have the total being $31 per person, a cheap price in comparison to every other form of transportation

I am open to anyone's opinions or criticisms, but I would also like to know if anyone would be interested

I actually have a group hitting Ax as a group. If I may recomend, driving may not be the best plan. Gas is costly as well as the cost to park( worse parking than fanime imo). The only plus would be u get ur choice of food considering the convention center is surrounded by restaurants(more costly tahn fast food is my problem with it) and an endless number of subways anda Famamia market. My group plans to train or plane there. The tram from certain hotels is a great way to get in and out of Ax. May I ask have you booked a hotel room yet?
